lucid dreaming.. help

i have been able to lucid dream since i was little, but i was often frightened by the experience and pinched myself awake, i am now 14 and for the past few years i have been experiencing lucid dreaming randomly a couple times over the year. But in the past two weeks i have had 9 dreams where i have become lucid.
i would like to know tips on how to lucid dream for longer, how to enhance them and why is it now over the past two weeks that i am starting to lucid dream nearly every night?
