Strangley enough opon lucidity the dream characters usually disapear and my dream will take on a whole new dreamscape.
I would like to interact with the original characters. Maybe when I become Lucid I need to focus my full attention on one particular indiviual dream character.
What about you?
They panicked, screamed, ran away(well tried), maybe harrassed me, and skeptical, sometimes happy.
I dont interact with dream characters very often at all but if they bother me, i tell them to f*** off and then i ignore them
Have you ever tried to befriend one? If so what happened?Quote:

no, not really. Like i said. I try not to interact with DC's. I did interact with my DG's who could've been DC's and i befriended them. I had a good time with. Made me happy, laugh, cheerful etc.Quote:

Whenever I tell a DC that I am dreaming, they either get really scared or freak out and attack me. Depending on the level of lucidity, I will fight back or ignore them... Its kind of frusterating when they do though...
How I despise those DC's... *shakes fist angrily*
They try to understand but never do. I keep trying to explain but they just act confused.
This one time I was trying to tell a girl that she was in my dream. She didn't understand so I picked her up, and flew with her superman style over tropical islands and the oceans, with her under me. It was so crazy flying with a hot girl. But she vanished before we landed so I couldn't ask her what she thought.
I wish I could be in a lucid dream with my best friend (him knowing that he's a dream character), and fly around together and just do whatever we please.
sometimes it's like my dream characters know me:
for example: in one LD i had, some classmates where in it and they HELPED me get lucid! they repeated stuff like "how weird this is" or "dreams are cool!" i was all "wtf...?" until someone said "ffs Krippe! YOURE DREAMING!!"
it was cool :D
and some times they read my mind cause they starts to panic when im in the mood for killing
I did this once just to see what the reaction would be. I asked my parents how it felt to be living in my dream. Their reaction was quite interesting. You see I'm into songwriting, etc, and in the back of my mind have this dream of one day being a famous songwriter or what-not. Well that is how my parents took the question. They told me that it's been a little tough on them because I have to live so far away, but that they've always been supportive and always will be.
In my short experiences with LDs, as soon as i announce it they suddenly stop all action and just stare at me with vacant expressions. Its like them androids in Westworld when the power goes down yer know?
once, in a dream i was torturing a poor blonde boy, and he was so tough that i felt the need to say him "dude, if i didt had to kill you, id admire you so much, and if i meet you in real life, il shit my pants immediately" he answered, blood covering his face "real life?" and i said "yeah, you know, when the dream is over" he said to me "oh, i hope i could see that!" and then he vanished
Krippe, I have helpful DC's too, but one in particular - my brother.Quote:

There are 3 cases:
(1) Brother calling a 'lucidity helpline' when I was dreaming I was alseep. The voices at the other end of the line reminded me to become lucid.
(2) I become lucid, and my Mum and Brother are with me. I say 'I'll wake up now.' Brother: 'No, me and Mum will prolong the dream so you can enjoy lucidity.'
(3) A room full of clones of our pet rabbit. I am startled, Brother: 'I think it's a dream.'

That's...Odd. Do they all reply at the same time? xD Mine normally either don't do much, just go along with the dream, or try to kill me. Heh. One time I went lucid while in my room, I went out to my living room and my mom was sitting there, watching TV. I remembered stuff about people's dream charactors attacking them so I acted normal, just said to my DC mom 'I'm going outside' and she let me...xD...
Mine Are calm and just smile at me........and go on as normal.....
but that's because i don't think i'd like to see someone in one of my dreams run around screaming saying (oh No I"m Not REAL I"M NOT REAL).......though there was this one dream......
but he was funny till i made him burst into flames.....i was bored
in my dreams, the characters usually tell me about why I am dreaming, my limits and such. Many have actually been teachers for a time to me. Especially this one old guy in my dreams, he's cool.
my dream characters usually don't freak out but when i tell them that i'm dreaming and that they are just inside my head they usually tell me that it's not true. They always insist that they are real. If i want to do something they usually aren't very cooperative.
it was weird...today i just had a lucid dream and my dream characters were doing the impossible like me. Even one of their mom's was sort of helping me out/giving advice. They took it very well and tok advantage of it. Of course they didnt really care.
it was weird, but last night i had a LD with my friend in it, then after that was over i had a false awakening and my friend woke up in the bed next to me AFTER the lucid dream and then me and him walked outside and saw some sort of carnival and I looked at my hands and tryed the finger thru trick, but for sum reason it didnt work and my friend says "nope. not a dream." and then the dream went along normally.....grrr stupid DC's...
I just had 2 lucid dreams 2 nights ago, and I just remembered this tpoic so I was running around telling DCs that they were dreaming..Mine just stood there and almost froze until i got done talking..xD...There was a DC of my best friend in RL and I kept reminding the DC that they were in a DReam..I was just barely lucid..xD....But I think that helped me to stay lucid,....^.^...The odd part is, the first lucid dream of that night I was with a class (I think) on the top of a not too high cliff but still high enough to prolly die if you fell of in RL and I realized I was dreaming so I just floated down, and the DCs that were the class were yelling at me to get back up there xD
My last LD as a matter of fact was with my wife and her friend.
I had a shot at trying to make them lucid.
They just acted stupid, stubborn and ..well.. just really dense.
She looked away from me and had a blank expression on her face
Like her brain 'crashed'.. lol...
I decided that it obviously wasn't a shared dream :P
Maybe my very first LD was set in the past, and I remember arguing with my mom's boyfriend that whatever we were talking about didn't matter, because I was really dreaming all of it four years in the future. He just didn't get it.
Another time I was with friends at a bar, and when I told them I was dreaming, they thought I was drunk. I got up and walked away, and Dave followed me. "I really am dreaming" I told him, "watch," and I levitated a few feet. "Maybe you are dreaming," he said, and then I woke up.
my dc's tend to try and distract me, get me to watch a movie or do something along those lines, however in my first lucid dream it was a dc who told me i was dreaming...me and my buddy were really excited to start LD'ing, and he appeared in my dream rejoicing that we were dreaming
nice :bump: My dcs instantly attack me upon realizing it's a dream.
In mine they just really act normal, which is quite odd. Not tried mentioning dreams to them yet.
In the only case I can remember, the DCs showed me to this room that held all sorts of remnants from my childhood/teenage years.
I read all through this thread after typing my reply and didn't notice that it was 7 years old. Ooh well, seems like a thread worth reviving. :)
Mine usually look at me like I'm crazy or something, then slowly disappear when I'm not looking. I have a couple that tend to stick around and act like nothing happened. Occasionally one tries to fight with me, but I just glare at them and they back down immediately.
I had one that annoyed the hell out of me when I was lucid by repeatedly asking me if I was dreaming, distracting me from my lucid mission. I melted him into a puddle on the floor. This was by far the most satisfying destruction of a DC. + Journal Entry Link
they don't believe me and get mad xD
Lol. My DCs are the most the most subservient people I've ever met. I think it's because I have very strong dream control, but if I tell them to do anything they do it, and i've never had any attack or try to convince me that I'm awake.
it seems like they know you because technically, they are you. So when your DC's are telling you that you're dreaming, maybe it's because, depending on how many LD's you've had, you're subconscious mind is sort of aware when you're dreaming. I hope this makes some sense as it's morning and my brain isn't fresh lol
When I let my dream characters know that they're in my dream, they either try to get away from me with a look on their faces like they've just commited some brutal crime, or simply just literally melt before my eyes. Anyone else experienced this?
The only time I interacted with a DC in a lucid dream I asked him what he represented (in my subconscious), upon hearing this question he panicked and tried to escape... Link
Another time I was explaining to this girl about a riddle with several parts, like for example: "What does it mean if you're able to jump 5 meters over a road?" She didn't know the answer and got increasingly annoyed. When I finally said that the answer was "It means you're dreaming!" She replied angrily: "Well why don't you realize that you're dreaming right now??" Stunned I realized she was right, and woke up. :cheeky:
I did this for the first time last night, the two DCs got really angry and tried to chase me. I locked myself in my room though lol!
They wouldn´t care less. They just continue whatever they´re doing, and if I tell them it´s a dream, they say something like "Yeah, so?" (Although it would be nice if they´d told that to me, not vice versa.) But I quess things could be worse, right?
they act casual, as if they have no clue it's a dream/they kind of accept it without any surprise. I haven't gotten lucid right next to people before though.
My Dc's are like brain dead from what I remember of my lucid dreams they are like zombies they do what I say and when I'm not talking to them ore anything else ;) they are just standing there...doing nothing
Well I just had my first lucid dream recently, and i tried to tell my dc that i was in a dream and my dc bursted out in laughter. My dc went crazy laughing like mad but i again insisted that this was a dream, and my dc grabbed me by my throat and told me that its not a dream its reality. So yh, my first experience of lucid dreaming involved me being attacked lol.
when i was dreaming last night, my godsister was there and i asked her "am i dreaming" and she just shrugged her shoulders without a word
For the most part, my DCs don't seem particularly put out. I've often had lucid dreams where I'll approach the first DC I see and start up the whole conversation about 'You're an aspect of my subconscious'. Some will come back with an interested, "Oh, really?" Some will already know. Some don't seem to case as much, but I've never had a surprised or angry one.
The really fun conversations are few and far between, unfortunately. Heh, I'm reminded of a point some DC made on the subject, "Well, I'm a part of your subconscious, which you don't have access to by definition -- So there's really no difference here than talking with any random other person, unless you're trying to talk about something you couldn't know or imagine... which you CAN'T do, again, by definition." *shrug* Smartass DC.
I use a command like If you keep annoying me you will never be in my dreams again
they usaully walk away or have a confused face the reactions are funny sometimes
When I tell them it's a dream they're usually like 'seriously? Are you sure?' and sometimes I show them how to do a reality check. They'll usually try and be really surprised when they seem to realize it's a dream.
Now that I think about it , my dc's tend to follow me, all of them are really nice to me.
My ld's aren't consistent, but somebody would always be following me around, most of the times we're even in groups.
I don't even think they're aware that they're dc's actually, but there's been maybe, 3 occurrences where some dc's would lecture me about lucid dreaming..
But always, I'm never alone roaming about the dream world.........
Sometimes it is my DC's that tell me I'm dreaming. Sometimes I even argue with them for a minute or two until I realize that they are right. Once my family had a surprise party for me, with a huge banner that said "congratulations! You're lucid!"
After that they either just act normal or act a little slow witted like they don't quite get what's going on.
I felt this chicks boobs while she was talking to me then she ran away crying
In my first lucid dream that I actually did anything, 2 days ago I think. My friend that in real life lucid dreams all the time was there, in the dream I thought we were both dreaming, i don't beleive in shared dreams by the way :P I remember us both agreeing to remember the dream xD
but I lost him in the dream and found my mom, I asked her how it felt to be a dream character and she looked at me like she was going to kill me and then I woke up.
i tell them that this is a dream and they don't believe me. I have not convinced one yet.
Most of them act stupid, but some are normal. I sometimes take DC's on adventures with me.
I don't know it depends, sometimes they act normal sometimes they stare sometimes they have dairy of the mouth. Just depends for me.
They..i can't tell them that i'm actually a 'fake' there. Its somehow part of the dream's Order.
You must accomplish what you must there, then you'll just dissapear frm existence there -no one will remember who u r-
The only time I've ever told a DC it was a dream she told me she knew, and that was why we could fly together. The whole dream ended up being about a group of us LDing together and practicing dream control. It was weird and surreal and almost made me believe in Shared Dreaming, but not quite.... That was the longest LD I've ever had though...
I told my mom it was a dream and she didn't believe me. Then I pushed my finger through my palm and she gave me a funny look, but still didn't believe me. After that, I shoved the dog inside the TV screen and she got mad at me and wanted her dog back...
once when I told a DC that it is a dream. he attacked me and threw me out of the dream and I had a false awaking. and in that another dream I was no more lucid.
I guess your dream characters react the way you would react if someone you were having a conversation with suddenly interrupted you by making their hand explode.. Actually if you take away reality for a dream character you are making them unstable so their reactions could be anything but most likely they will be based on your current emotions.
So I tried this out the other night, told a DC she was in my dream. She totally didn't believe me, and was rather rude about it, even after I demonstrated that i could levitate for her. I guess that's what I get for arguing with my own stubborn subconscious. Here a link to the full DJ for those who are interested:

For me they react very calm and disbelieving, but when I tell them to get away because they are not real they just do as they're told.
Last night, I told my DC's that I knew I was dreaming, and they all wanted to attack me. But I just told them to disappear and they did!
