dreamed lucid dreams
i had two lucid dreams last night, but im questioning the validity of them, because when i woke up from these dreams and told my friend about it i was still dreaming, so as with all my lucid dreams, im not sure if they werent just part of the dream or not. the first one i noticed i was dreaming and walked around for a while and couldnt remember a single thing interesting i could do in alucid dream :P the second one (this is the one im not sure is real) i was like ok and i shouted out DREAM GUIDE come to me and there was a man across the road and im like he;s my dream guide, and his name is twelve! and then i woke up. (within the dream again)
so as you can see i cant distinguish between a real lucid dream and a dreamed lucid dream.

I've had a lucid dream to this effect, but I can't remember most of it =... as for dreaming of being lucid, I think that you can't dream of being lucid within a dream. You were probably semi-lucid (because you weren't aware of you capabilities). As for your Dream Guide's name being Twelve, that's weird :? :P

I have two theories about what may have happened but ultimately only you can really figure out whether or not these were real LDs.
I do think that it is entirely possible to dream about lucid dreaming because of the tricks our minds can play on us. When you have something on your mind alot (like learning how to LD) that can manifest itself in our dreams but this doesn't mean its an LD.
Basically the question you have to ask yourself is...were you aware that you were dreaming while you were dreaming? If so, then this was most likely a semi-lucid dream which wasn't very intense or vivid and you had little or no control over your surroundings.
Most of my LDs have been intense, meaning that I felt truly present and remembered everything upon waking as if it actually happened, but I did have a very semi-lucid dream on my first WILD attempt so I know where you are coming from...it can be a bit confusing.

i had that and i thought it was my first LD!
couple days ago i had my first REAL LD and i realised my first was justa dream where i dreamt i was lucid, but not actually lucid.
but yeah theyre annoying.

wow how odd! to be honest i have never dreamed i was lucid, but if you are dreaming this it still shows that you are questionning reality - after its still you that knew you were dreaming - no one else - regardless of whether it was a dream inside a a dream or not :)

There are several well documented cases of perfectly nested nonlucid/lucid dreams. By this I mean you have a nonlucid dream, in which you have a lucid dream (and intend to), that upon ending reawakens back up to the nonlucid dream, that continues until its end and reawakens to waking reality.
The Lucidity Institute has documented some of these cases. They theorize it may stem from habitual activity that allows the 2 dreams to cooperate with each other. I myself had one yesterday.
But from the info provided, I'm not entirely sure that perfectly nested dreams is what Nebulae is talking about.

I hate that as well. Dreaming that your lucid dreaming. Its basically low level lucid dream. Also it sounds like you have false awakenings got often. Try to do reality checks whenever/wherever these false awakenings occur.
im so happy that you've been having this much progress :D
