I normally read through interesting LD-related threads and that has a tendency to reinforce my interest of lucid dreaming :).
Chatting in forums helps to keep me interested.
It's also good to plan what you will do in your next lucid dream too. I think that when I stopped lucid dreaming, it was partly because I had a couple where I couldn't think of anything new to try. However, that was ridiculous as their are endless possibilities.
I have started a blog about my attempts, which helps to keep me going and I intend to keep experimenting with different techniques to make it interesting. I have been looking in to binaural beats recently. I even started my own website to ensure I stayed committed to it this time.
I think the main thing is to keep progressing, learning and sharing your experiences :)
Yeah I stopped posting in dreamviews and all my lucids were pretty careless but just today I've gotten back into lucid dreaming and the whole dreamviews thing. I felt like I ran out of ideas of things to do during lds but I think it's because I've been having little ones here and there. My truely vivid ones I have so many ideas and I do so many things.
Lucid dreams cause a positive feedback loop. I'm interested in lucid dreaming, I have a lucid dream, I become more interested in lucid dreaming, I have another lucid dream, and so on and so forth. The incentive to lucid dream is the dream itself.
Oh, and art. When I hear really cool music, or see a really cool image, it inspires me to have a dream equally as cool.
yeah i lost my motivation what did you guys do?
