You Gotta Be Joking?!?!?!?!

OKAY... so... i... freaking... WANTED TO LD soo bad last night...
and i did a few reality checks... like alot of times... 3 differents ones.. before i went to bed..

Got in the bed.. got compfertable...... tried MILD Teqs... and went to sleep

....but something happend.. that never happend before... but.. im not mad cause of that...

IWOKE UP THIS MORN...... and MY dream came to me.. with in 5-10 mins after i got up...

THEN I REMEMBERD DOING A REALITY CHECK WITH MY NOSE... AND I COULD KINDA BREATHA.. KINDA COULDNT... but the weird thing is.. i rememberd doing it IN BED..

HUHUH??? i never do Reality Check there... and the fact i could kinda breath??...
Was i really that close??... what DIDINT happen so that i coulda became lucid?

Maybe you had a false awakening and didn't realize it. When I do the nose check in a dream I can often only partially breathe, it could be that my nose is just stuffy or something.

Same thing happend to me this morning, recall after a while, and i recalled 3 RC that failed in a row!!!
It sure sounds like you got a FA.

reality checks are otay tools, but probably the best way to ensure that you have a good lucid dream and that you remember it is to work in the day time on lucid visualization skills, and ego-id communications.

A lot of the tools that they give in tools chests like these are useful only really if you are ready and at that particular stage.

How is your lucid visualization going? Your dream journal? Can you chat with your subconscious mind yet?

How are you and your brodmanns brain areas getting along?

I haven't bothered to use reality checks like these in years. Most of them no longer apply in any case. Even my normal dreams are generally lucid enough for me to see my nose, see my hands, see my feet, and feel my lungs move.

Some of these reality check type things are counter productive. If you are remote viewing, for instance, seeing yourself in the scene isn't lucid, its
working backwards.

What the simple system folks don't usually mention is that you have
to work through the beta level, then the alpha level, then the delta level,
then the theta level, in that order. No amount of quick tricks will get you there if you are trying to do calculus without first learning arithmetic.
