I believe I just had my first Lucid =P

Well, I'm not entirely sure since I wasn't actually asleep, which is kind of weird. I began to doze off (family is making dinner so I decided to get some shuteye before it's finished, but not actually completely sleep) and I realized this because my thoughts went from normal (things I did today, had to do, won't do) to something bizarre (i dont even know what it was! i just knew it was bizarre) and I was like....HAH! I'm DREAMING!

And even then, I didn't have real control...it didn't feel anything beyond a normal dream. Then, I was like okay for this situation, I'd like to be an anime character! so In order to test my hypothesis that I was indeed dreaming, I became the anime character, looked at my hands, and ALAS! I had more than 10 fingers! thing is, it didn't look vivid...I looked at them, saw that my hands were just terribly distorted, and I immediately woke up startled/excited...to the point where I could not get back to sleep.

Even though this happened, I am still just going to practise my Dream Recall and maybe work on putting myself into certain scenarios, and THEN I will begin to really challenge my self on LD'ing. Thanks for all your help! :banana:

Congratulations, even though I didn't help at all. My first lucid dream was triggered from being in an animeish situation.
