People's reactions when you talk about LDs?

What do people you know think about lucid dreams? Are they interested, or do they just not care? I tend to get really excited about things like this, so I've asked most of my friends if they know about LDs. Responses ranged from "No way! Really?!" to "Oh yeah, I did that when I was a little kid." Surprisingly, most people I talked to about it not only knew what it was but had become interested in it at some point. One had googled the instructions a few years ago and can now induce a LD whenever he wants. More than half the people didn't know what it was, though, and they mostly had an attitude of "it couldn't happen to me" or "I'm not that dedicated". I was chatting with a friend a few minutes ago and he was totally psyched about it and fascinated with me description of my first lucid dream. Anyway, how do people you know react when you talk to them about LDing (if you do at all, anyway)?

I've gotten a few friends mildly interested in LD'ing. Usually though the ones that never remember their dreams in the first place aren't interested, which I always find kind of sad. If your going to be stuck doing nothing for 8 hours every night, I say make the most of it!

yea my friends usuly just go oh yea ive done that a few times and start a new subject. guess it doesnt get there attention:P

I got a friend interested in dream recall, but that's as far as he got. He had a lucid dream, but he didn't seize the opportunity. My other friends let it slip right over them, thinking that it is too hard to induce.
