      HYPNOSIS.....is....REAL!!!!!

Ok, we just had a hypnotist show in my college (NJIT), his name was "LaRosa".
That guy was sooooooo good. Unbelivable. He had 5 people totally under control. Was really amazing and entertaining.

But that's not it. Seeing the show from a lucid dreamer's point of view was truly enlightening. First of all, he made people fall asleep in a matter of seconds. Here is a good connection to dreaming and sounds entering dream.

Then, he said that about 80% of illnesses and conditions are caused by *US* thinking we are sick. Not to mention complexes and inhibitions.
      so they can be overcome.

Then, it seemed as he used partial telepathy and had these guys and one girl's energy flow under control. He could induce pain and pleasure at will.

I never thought such things are possible and wouldnt ever belived if someone told me it is....

Anyone had experiences with hypnosis or similar states ? not attempts but results...

Yes, i seen the same more or less from close by range, was interesting indeed.
I use selfhypnosis in my lds for control..so far still the best tech ever i know for control from within a ld.
Dreaming and hypnosis are closely related to oneanother, both are consciousness stages of mainly pure association.

I also used the essense of selfhypnosis a long time ago to make a big leap forward at meditation.

lol I wouldn't be able to trust a professional! I'd think he was gonna make fun of me or something!

I just love the idea of hypnosis and I'd love to get it done!

I'm sceptical about stage hypnosis. As far as hypnotherapy and self-hypnosis are concerned, however, I fully believe them. I have LDs practically every night when I hypnotize myself to have them. I'm actually doing a bit of an experiment right now. If it works, I could have around seven lucid dreams a night. If it works.

I myself have had a large amount of success with the LD-self-hypnosis-thing-a-ma-bobber-technique (Thanks LDGuy! ) My parents were actually hypnotised to stop smoking after I my brother was born, but of course they claimed it was actually their own will that made them quit . How exactly do you hypnotise another person anyway?

No problem, Death-Wuad. To hypnotize someone else is to guide them through self-hypnosis. In other words, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Just guide someone through self-hypnosis and give them the suggestions and you've done hypnosis.
