It took me a while.
About two months , but now im having DILDs about 2 times a week.
But my goal is to master wild , where I can do it every night.
I'd be having them that frequently, but I haven't fallen asleep for more than about 3 hours a night lately. It's been really hot.
Lucid dreaming was so exciting to learn about and I had a lucid dream during the first night... I kept on thinking that I had perfected a technique when I didn't... I started to become so frustrated and I took a two month break... I'm going to start all over again and I will try to become a WILDer... (Felt like giving some unnecessary information)
I got my first 2 LDs on the first morning I did a WILD w/ a WBTB. But I didnt get it on the first attempt though, I got it on the 2nd or 3rd attempt.
I found that I had LDs very soon after I joined Dream Views and reading LaBerge's book, but I think that's just because it was constantly on my mind. It was new and novel. The LDs were mostly sporadic.
Now, I'm starting to develop techniques that suit me, but they never give LDs every time. I usually have at least 1 lucid a week now, but it's taken me about six months of progress to get to this point.
The key is to stay focused! :)
I had a LD the night I looked at this site for the first time, because the guide says you'll probably have an LD after reading this.
Well hard to tell how long it took me... well actually i was born with them. as alittle child a had LD quite some times ^^ but then... 10 years i couldnt even remember my dreams... well some weeks ago i found out that you can induce LDs and that they even exist for sure! well then i had a LD 2 days or something after i found out about them, because something unlogical happened during my dream and it was only for 3 seconds, due to my alarm clock (DAMN YOU ALARM CLOCK ^^). since then i didnt have another one so far...
I wasn't born with them, but that's how I voted. Because I had my first LD (around age 14) before I'd ever heard of them before. I was always really into my dreams and so one day I just recognized that what was going on made no sense, and I became lucid. Whoohoo for understanding the concept of "I'm in a dream! I can do whatever I want!" and having 100% dream control!! :boogie:
It took me about 5 months of reading the forum and trying different techniques. Now I have around 6-10 lucid dreams a month.
After eading about it it took me like 2-3 months to get my first LD. About 3-4 months later to get my first really vivid LD.
ya about a week and a half after some really good recall. i owe it all to being very enthusiastic.
