      What Happened To Me??

Setting: I woke up and first thing I did was try and remember any dreams I had that night and I came up with a few and was happy that I remembered because a lot of times I don't. I got up and got a drink of water and walked around it was still quite early at least for me 6:00 (I was up late playing Second Life).

So I decided to do what I do when I am tired in the morning I lay down and my bed and doze off for what seems to be a few minutes then I come to, and remember a small dream That happened. But I was still tired and bored lying there so I did what I do a lot.

I started to play with these random colors I see when my eyes are closed. Being me I decided to try and simulate an atomic bomb exploding and after a while was quite successful It was at first very unrealistic and kinda blurry. Then I started getting better at it making the explosion more defined and having the waves of the blast hit me. This all being made up from random colors I see in my eyes so its more like an abstract painting but animated.

Then out of no where I am in my back yard and everything around me is going super fast the blowing of the trees, I look up and see the clouds flying by me. Everything was so Epicly real and all looked like it was a time lapse. And I was like oh crap whats going on then I remembered hey I was just playing with those colors in my eyes this isn't real. This wasn't like a normal lucid dream I have had cause I felt my body still lying on my bed and my actual breathing. It was more like if you just close your eyes and then you have a movie just played right into your vision.

I decided to look around for my Tree that was hit by a tornado and when i turned my head to fast my actual head outside this dream thing turned in my pillow at the same time and i snapped out of it.

I decided that was pretty cool so I readjusted myself and rested against my pillows and started up visualizing that Atom bomb. It came much easier and slowly it went from looking like a abstract painting to looking like a real bomb and the ground ripping up from the waves and it finally hits me and knocks me over seemed very realistic, But i still remembered I was just imagining it.

Then once again Poof I am in a field of grass with a small Stone path and kids are running by, I was like Score i made it into another one. I walked past the kids and got really excited and then snapped out of it.

I was completely rested after that second one and had no chance of going to sleep after that being excited and all so I just got up and decided to post it.

      Weird for me because:

It took about 2 minutes of playing with colors in my eyes to make something then to snap into the most vivid dream i have ever been in.

These dreams lasted only a few minutes

I felt my physical body quite well it was as if just imagine lying in a bed and having someone just play a movie in front of your eyes and the inside of your eye lids are the projection screen.

Alright that seemed to be a long post so if you read it all thanks and if this is just some simple thing that happens i would like to know what it is cause it has been so different compared to my other lucids especially the vividness.

Not sure what causes it, but I can do that too. I close my eyes, ignore the colours and look at where my hands would be if i was standing, and then rub them together, I keep doing it until the sensations are in my real hands, and then I am lucid, but for a while I can still feel my body. Normally I use this to go to sleep immediately, but I have used it once or twice whilst bored at work. Certainly an interesting phenomenon. Maybe a crossover between daydreaming and lucid dreaming?

Thats cool that you experienced the same thing Maybe it is a cross between day dreaming and lucid dreaming, its quite fun though.

Im still amazed at the clarity in it more clear than any dream i have ever had in my life.

Sounds like you were really close to wake inducing a lucid dream.

If it happens again, just ignore the feeling of your body during this time, go with whatever is happening in the scene, and you will probably forget all about being awake and fall right into the dream (you'll still remember you're dreaming, though).

      Good luck!
