Was this actually a Lucid Dream?
I've only tried lucid dreaming about three times.. never doing anything serious as in writing in a journal or anything of that matter. I basically only kept telling myself that I was dreaming over and over again. Even as I was falling asleep, I felt myself remembering what to say less and less. So here is how my experience went (this is going to be long, so please bear with me):
First, I dreamed (grammar?) about the NBA basketball team the Detroit Pistons obtaining their all-star center, Ben Wallace, again. This was very random..
Suddenly, I was in my house thinking, "HUZAHH I DID IT!! Let's do this!" So I did a reality check, but I couldn't remember any except looking at a mirror. So I went to a usual mirror in the house and my face was messed up. At this sight I was scared and I could feel my heart pumping. But as soon as I remembered that it was easy to wake up I tried extremely hard to calm down, because I really wanted to stay in the dream. Then I saw my brother, and for some reason the only thing I remember was him telling me to wait for him because he had to go to the bathroom.. So I decided to look in a mirror again and I looked all right except for my hair was a different style. Then, I tried to fly.. thinking this was easy.. (I was wrong) I jumped up and then I just fell. The reason I gave up after this was I felt my mind telling me that it's impossible. I think this was a mind block, but being a newbie I didn't know what to think of it.
Then I thought about driving a car. Being only 14, I never got to try before. For some reason though, I never though of just poofing inside a car I had to think, "Okay, when I go outside, I will have a car and drive it." When I went outside, I was trying very hard to think it's going to be there, it's going to be there.. And sure enough, I saw it. When I started to drive though, i guess I got too excited and I woke up..
After I woke up though, the first thing I thought was, "I did it!.. wow.." Then some half-frightening images came into my head that I just couldn't stop. It's like my head was going haywire and I couldn't stop the thoughts. For example, I saw my friend, but his eyes were shadowed in black and it was kinda freaky. But at the same time I knew I was awake and I was saying, just don't think like that.. its okay..
Then I felt it, and I was so surprised.. It's like my senses were recovered and I never knew they were gone. I felt a little pop and my ears were ringing. This time I knew I was awake, but I was awake before too.. I just know it.. And all the frightening images just went away. I didn't want to sleep again, because I was fearing having the images pop up.. So I had to lull myself to sleep.
And that was it.
Now these are my questions:
-Was that actually a Lucid dream?
I never actually remember having any sensing ability except for seeing. I never touched, smelled, or tasted anything. As for hearing things, I just can't remember what I heard, if I heard anything.
-Should I stop doing this?
Please be honest, because I know most people on this forum like LDing. The reason I ask this is because when I woke up I felt this very weird feeling that if I keep doing this something bad will happen. I'm not sure if anyone else feels this, that's just the way I felt.
Also, I read somewhere that it isn't normal that kids my around my age (14) are able to LD. I was just wondering if this is in any way "unhealthy".
