      Experience from last night

Last night i was having a really difficult time falling asleep (due to a after work nap which I never really do). This threw off my sleep schedule and so i just laid in bed from about 1 to around 4 listening to music as usual. I believe it was around 4:30 (i checked my alarm clock after i woke up) that i caught myself in a dream. My body felt like i was still on my bed during the dream and i was actually in my sleeping position in the dream which consisted of just a nice scenery of green around me and i could see a cliff ocean and a yellow tent in the distance.

I snapped out of the dream at about 4:30 and when i woke up i was just really intent on going back in that dream . . So i concentrated Really hard on this window in my room saying in my head that it was the tent in the dream and . . i could feel this rush going through my brain and in an instant i could feel my eyes rolling back and this really intense prickly feeling on the back of the left part of my brain towards the middle.

As my eyes are rolling i could see my room slowly transform into the same scenery that was in my dream . . At this point i was really excited what was going on .. i was completely conscious during this dream period and the ones that followed.

When i woke up again i told myself I wanted to go somewhere else in my sub conscious and with some concentration it happened again this time i was trying to control my dreams which I somewhat did. In this 3rd dream period i had a flow of different dream scenarios. Like the scene in Eternal Sunshine when Jim Carrey is sleeping and is going non stop through his memories of his girlfriend.

The weirdest part is what happened next though which is why im sharing this and looking for some input of.

After the 3rd set of dreams i woke up again and being really excited about it i couldn't go to sleep but i tried something. I just thought of sounds, from songs i like etc, or the guitar, violin. When i started thinking about it i could literally hear them like there was a speaker in front of me and at that point i went into this coma like state. I could feel my mind getting lost in the sounds then i felt that rush i had before but this time i didn't dream. In this period i could not move my body and through out my entire body head to toes there was this intense tingly feeling. I could hear guitar, synth solos . . a woman whispering into my ear from the left and a conversation on my right. And all this just so loud and clear. . .

Last night was my first experience diving into my sub-conscious, Ill honestly say that it was one of the most odd but thrilling things that has ever happened to me, so im going to try and control my mind even further. Already set my alarm to 4 in the morning tonight to see if i can catch myself in REM sleep tonight.

That's pretty wicked, sort of like a VILD only instead of doing all the senses you focused on sounds. I bet that could be a good way to enter a dream.

Good luck with that and definitely post the results.
