Fatigue and recall
Greetings,
I've noticed that despite focusing my attention on increasing recall, there are some mornings when my dream journal contains no entries from the night before. Outside of what I've noticed is a cyclical rythym in my recall, the only anamoly I've been able to account for is being especially fatigued on those nights when I can't recall dreams. Does anyone else experience that or am I looking in the wrong place to explain this?

Well, last night, I had a two day long dream and I was really sore and tired when I woke up. So I don't think it's that.
If you want to increase your chances of recalling a dream, I suggest you stay still for a minute after waking with your eyes closed. Then write it down in your DJ. Another thing you should do is be relaxed when going to sleep and getting enough sleep.

If you have work or some physical event on those days, the exhaustion could account for it. Don't worry about it.

Exhaustion does have a history of inhibiting recall, and cycles can play a part in recall too.
