Dry Spells Overrrr :D

Hey. I haven't had a lucid for nearly 2 months, and I was starting to get extremely pissed. I would listen to lucid mp3's every night, do reality checks, and read the forums alot before I went to sleep. So last night I tried to put on an mp3 to listen to as I slept, but my ipod died. so instead i went to sleep without an ipod, thinking i wouldn't have a lucid...

in the morning I was in a dream where I was in a shack in a jungle in Africa. All of a sudden I realized, "wtf am i doing in africa!?". I didn't believe I was dreaming, so I did the nose pinching RC and it worked. Man, what a great feeling it was. The first thing I tried to do was spawn a dagger, and for the first time it worked! I went outside, and just for fun, decided to stab this random guy with it :P Next I tried to teleport to greece by spinning, but unforunately it didn't work. Then I remember I fell to the floor and slowly woke up :(

there were a couple of factors that were different that night which may have increased my chances of having an LD.

1)I wasn't worried/preoccupied about school like I have been lately since I didn't have any hw/tests.

2)I went to bed earlier than usual

3)I didn't listen to any lucid mp3's

4)I masturbated before going to bed... lol (this was the same scenario for another one of my lucids)

idk why this strange and unlikely combo got me a lucid dream, but im gonna try it again tonight :)

Congratulations, i haven't had a lucid for over a month because of various reasons but i just got back into it, hopefully i have one soon. yeah i also noticed when i don't really expect to have a lucid dream i would get one, probably because you aren't stressing over it. i noticed when i really want to have a lucid dream, i would wake up and not remember any of my normal dreams at all. also for some reason masturbating before bed does boost my chances of having one lol.
when you tried spinning to change the scenery, did you do it fast? when i teleport via spinning i do it very slowly and watch the scenery morph before my eyes, i highly recommend it.

that sounds like me! i havent had a lucid dream in about 2 months and i was gettin mad, i listened to mp3's all night on my ipod and the first night i decided not to, i had a lucid dream but it only lasted like 5 seconds.
Now i havent hand any luck..i need more help!
