What is really ticking me off is the fact that every time I get lucid, I make one small movement and then wake up. Is there any way to prevent this? I want to be able to move in my dreams.

What is really ticking me off is the fact that every time I get lucid, I make one small movement and then wake up. Is there any way to prevent this? I want to be able to move in my dreams.
How do you feel, emotionally, when you get lucid?
Also: have you tried remaining still for a while, before attempting movement?
Emotionally I actually am pretty neutral. As for remaining still...no I haven't. I shall try this next time I am lucid, thank you for the advice. Although I just thought of something, if I can't move, then I could always just levitate, it's not like I'm swinging my arms around or anything, right?
Heh, that could get boring pretty quickly however. It sounds to me like you are getting lucid in ver light sleep, and when you move your dream body, your real body is responding and waking you up. YMMV, but I think staying still for a while and just taking in sensations (especially visual and tactile) from the dream could immerse you more thoroughly, making it safer to move.
Actually yeah I think I am in a very light sleep because I was only asleep for around half an hour and my dream wasn't very vivid either. Thanks for the advice.Quote:
