Dream checking
i had a idea today, instead of doing reality checks i will do dream checks.
same general theory but instead i will not have to use any physical actions for intance i will not have to hold my nose and try to breathe through it, the idea being instead i will try and manipulate the world around me using my mind as i would in a lucid dream, if it works then i am dreaming if it doesnt then i am awake.. i came to this idea when i realised i already did it :oops: perhaps because i have almost gotten used to my dreams.. maybe thats how i manage to realise i am dreaming
this might not be something which everybody would want to do, it could potentially be mind binding stuff.. but i believe in sharing and i thought it interesting anyway
i didnt want to use my actual account for this thread for my own reasons (obviously administrators could easily find out who i was if they wanted)
(sorry for the lack of grammar or punctuation)

I've tried that a few times, but sometimes my dream control isn't great so I still stick with physical tests.

I wonder if this could really work the same way. I mean, could it even work better? Usually in a dream, when something doesn't go right if your trying to summon something, or even do something, it usually encompasses an unnatural spasmodic. It would surely make RC's more fun and forces you to use your imagination.

the thing i like is that it requires no actual body movement you just have to get into the mindset that you use in a dream to do something for instance i know what mindset or thoughts i need to have to be able to do certain things since i do them almost every time i am lucid i wasnt kidding when i said i noticed that i already occasionally did it

Now that I think about it, RC's should be physical.
The physical test might be a necessity for your brain to more easily understand/trigger an RC in your dream world.

from what i know the most well known reality checks are physical;
holding your nose and trying to breathe through it
putting your finger into the palm of your other hand to see if it goes through/sinks in further than it should

hmmm sounds like it may work pretty well thanks i might try it:D
