I usually just look around the enviroment that im in (be it a room or outside) and ask myself if I am dreaming.
As I've always considered myself a literary person, I like reading something, glancing away, and reading it again to see if it's changed. I loved the feeling I got the first time I tried it and it worked.
My hands. I just look down at my hands, and count the fingers. Whenever I'm dreaming, I ALWAYS have 4 fingers on my left hand. Freaked the hell out of me the first time, though... ;)
I like doing the finger-through-palm, counting my finger, and looking at the digital time/text
I look at my hands. I usually have Claw like hands in dreams.
Finger counting. I love that feeling of "What the?!?! I'm dreaming!!!"
im so horrible with reality checks, really
I try awareness raising instead. And I do this during the day just by trying to be more aware of where I am, what I am doing, what I was doing before this, and constantly looking at details
'when' I do it, it works. in the dream I'll be double questioning my environment. I'll touch the wall, even if it feels solid, and think that my hand can go through it. And if it does. Dreamin!
Definitely pinching my nose and breathing through it or looking at a clock then looking back to see if the time has changed.
Gravity/Air Pressure RC, the others hate me and never works unless I'm lucid <.<
I LOVE sticking my finger through my palm. It's just so cool, I do it all the time, even after I've already determined that I'm dreaming.
I like asking myself if things make sense, or if I can remember what I was doing an hour ago, if I know what I'm doing right now, etc. Theres a certain feeling when you're dreaming (if you wake induce lucid dreams, you get a similar feeling when you're very close to being asleep).
Being tired, alert, asleep, awake, sober, drunk, stoned, etc. Everything in life has a certain 'feeling' to it. Impossible to describe. I sound like a creep, even looking back at what I just wrote, but it's actually true lol.
Breathing through nose
Holding my nose, has failed me once tho.
I like to see at my hand. There's a mark which never appears in my dreams and, if it does, it is totally different.
I like to flick a light switch every now and then.
Had another LD dream last night :)
I used a whole bunch, since last time I managed to convince myself I wasn't dreaming.
I used: plugging up nose and breathing, finger through palm, hovering around the room, and turning lights on and off with my mind.
Mnemonic Reality Check for me. Works every time except for FA.
Plugging my nose is a favorite for reliability's sake. It's a habit! I also really like how it feels when I push my finger through my hand.
plugging my nose and trying to breathe always gets me lucid. Its weird though, because it always seems like my nose is real stuffy, but the air goes through any way and i become lucid. Then i usually try and move random objects with my mind and then i know 100%
that one does feel really weird...cause you can feel the air rushing through your dream nostrils...another one i have done is smashing your head against an object...i usually don't feel pain or i go threw it....(it is not a good one to try if you are not sure in Real Life)
