Recall or control problem?

I have had 3 lucid dreams since I have been trying this time, the best progress I have made since knowing about lucid dreams. I seem to have one every 2 days, and I'm sure that will get better. But they only last 30 seconds at the most. I am wondering if my problem is that I don't stabilize my dream and rush into things, or I have a full lucid dream but don't remember it because my dream recall isn't good enough. Would I definately remember a whole lucid dream, just because I was lucid? Need help, thanks.

Unfortunatly LDs are like any other dream when it comes to recall. It is easy to forget them completely or partially.

So if I were you I'd work on both my dream recall and on stabilizing the LD before you rush off to do stuff. The stabilization tech that works best for me is to look down at the ground under my feet. Notice how detialed it is. Then I look up and look around me. I just take it all in. I tell myself how solid and real it all looks.

Lucid dreams can sometimes to be hard to remember. What I like to do is while lucid in the dream, look around, and say to yourself, "When I wake up, I'm gonna remember this!" then run through the experience in your head once or twice, just remember what you just told yourself. When you wake up from the lucid, I've found that makes it easier to remember things, especially small details.

Great advice, Shift! I do that too -- go through it in the dream to make sure I can remember it when I awake.

Thank you guys so much. I'm starting to get really good lucid dreams now and its AWESOME. I will have to remember to make myself remember them better now. It is annoying because I can remember thinking about the clarity and detail of the surroundings, but I can't actually remember how clear it was and that is frustrating.
