What is the point of the site www.lucidcrossroads.co.uk?
looks cult-ish
Someones cry for help on designing websites
at least dreamviews link is there

No MM though hmmmm.
The theory is that if enough people memorize a specific dream world, and then go there during their lds, that it will create a stable shared location to be able to meet up at.
The website contains all the images of the world plus the creepy blue people that inhabit the world. It is pretty small and simple so its not difficult to memorize.
I don't necessarily even believe its possible, but out of curiosity I have tried memorizing the cross roads and going there in my LDs and every time the place looks like its in ruins, like the well is broken and the water is leaking out. Of course its most likely just my own dream.
I've tried several times to get to the LD crossroads, with no success. I think it is mostly because the thought of meeting those blue freaks makes me annoyed.
Yeah, lucid4sho is right. Supposedly lots of dreamers visiting this place will eventually create a stable real place in the dream world.
Lol, kind of like when people are trying to meet up/project at a specific place in the DMT world. Haha, doubt this will happen but I'm going to give it a shot too later for the hell of it :P.
Sounds very cultish. Kind of creepy. I'd stay away from that site.
its not cultish at all, just another idea how to spend an ld... if you read it through theres like 10 doors that all lead to somewhere different, the pool and mirror are like for astral projecting or something, and theres a big martial arts dojo or whatever
i think its a good enough idea, just not practical to the point of what they intend it for
I don't like the blue dudes. . .why does there have to be blue dudes??
I said it sounds cultish. Now that I've looked at it more, it's just creepy with the blue people. You're right though, a good principle nonetheless, even though their intent is misguided. Lucid dreaming has been proven with science behind it, which must have been very hard to do. If shared dreaming was possible, wouldn't it have been proved by now? It'd probably be a lot easier than proving that you can be conscious while your body is unconscious.
Not trying to start a flame war, just curious about other's opinions. Furthermore, this is in general discussion so "Beyond-Dreamers" don't quite have their "protection" of their normal "belief only" forum rule.
I've never made it to the crossroads, for whatever reason.
I do appreciate the time and attention the creator put into the website. I imagine its creation has been a huge help to their dream work.
Ah, I like it. It's a bit nostalgic, since that's one of the places I first found when searching about LDing. I don't think it's cultish, it's kind of motivational for me. I also got an interesting "AP" method there, it was similar to what used to happen to me from time to time. I got a glimpse of it once in a LD. I find the setting very relaxing, since I'm usually stuck in my screwed up home.
It is good to use to improve clarity and such, I use it for that. I tried to dreamshare in it once with another DV member, he said he'd seen me, but he didn't...
