Is it too late to learn at 86?
Its never to late to learn, this entire life and beyond this life is a learning experience, we are never done learning. So, no. =)
Are you saying you are 86,then?
yes I am 86 - of course I am learning many things still, I should have said learn to dream lucidly. I had a dream recently that I was walking normally (no crutch) which I can no longer do and woke in it and enjoyed it very much and would experience more of that.
Wow, 86! My grandma is around 84 or so, but I'm happy to see an elder using a cmputer, It's not something I see at all.
At 86, if your mind is still sharp, then it can be learned.
I hope you reach your goal.
Pentland i say go for it and see what you cna do ;) You might be having great dreams all the time if you start practicing. Start a dream journal, noting any dreams you can remember for now. This is a great place to be for motivation, friendly people and information.
Welcome and enjoy your stay ;)
I dont see why it would be impossible to learn at 86, you can atleast try and keep us updated on your progress!!!
Good luck with it :)
No, it's never too old to learn something new. Good luck! :)
What they said. If you want, please contact one of the dream guides or just make a topic for any questions you have regarding them. We are all glad to help, regardless of age.
I know you meant learning LDing, I figured that is probably the reason why you are here, and yeah..you can still learn it, great to see somebody of your age that wants to learn it!
wow man, its cool that you want to know about lucid dreams at such an old age do you surf the net often, or did someone tell you about this?
its never too late to learn about lucid dreaming!
Welcome to Dreamviews! Wow, up until now, I have been the oldest one here at 43 years of age. Please stick around and share with us as you learn. Some day, I hope to be 86 as well! :)
Welcome.
As long as you keep your mind open to new things and don't put limitations on yourself I don't see why Lucid dreaming wouldn't be as viable for you as anyone else. So good luck & ask Questions if you have them. :D
(Note: My granmother is 96 and she still kicks my *%##@*! at card games! )
Good Luck Pentland of course you can learn. Age has nothing to do with it. The first time i became lucid i looked at my hands straight away to stabilize. This works for many people. My first time was completely by accident. I just realised i was dreaming. I had read certain books by Carlos Castaneda (but that was years before). A friend had also told me to look at my hands if i ever became lucid so i did. Now there is no looking back. I also think the more its on your mind the easier it will happen so if you keep thinking about it your subconscious will pick up on it. I Hope this helps.
Peace Sensi
Welcome and Enjoy, wow 86 how cool is that!
