Close, but not quite

So i have been trying to lucid dream for week or so now. I have been doing the occasional reality check and whatnot. But anyways the last two nights, I have had 2 quite vivid dreams. I dont remember more than about a minute of the first one, but I remember a very specific and vivid scene (incredibly awkward, couldn't put it to paper). And the second one that happened at around 11-11:30 this morning (day off sleep in ha) i remember alot of this one, pretty much the general timeline of it, but quite in as much vivid detail as before.

So anyway it was 6 oclock pm here when I got the idea to try and Ld, I went up to bed turned off the lights and put on my sleep mask and set my alarm for 45 mins (didn't want to sleep through the night). About 20 mins in my feet got heavy and about 25 mins in got mild pricklies in my hands. but then at about 30-35 mins in I got the first wave of prickles through my body, followed by another, I felt like I was indented about a foot into my bed, but then My body turned on me, my heart started pounding and I mean POUNDING, I started breathing harder and in short breaths. It was almost like I was having a fight or flight reaction......weird, I also started to become afraid when this happened as well which didn't help. My fear shut down the process of SP i think. then about 10 mins later I felt about 3 more prickly waves, I tried to focus on breathing, but my mind wandered and woke me up just enough to stop SP again. then my alarm went off which automatically made my eyes fly open totally ending 45mins of solid work.
The plus side to all this is that I feel really refreshed and awake now haha.

Anyways I have tried to LD in the mornings, but I cant ever keep myself up longer than a minute or two and when I try and focus on breathing I pass out. So im going to try Lding when I get home after school around 345ish and even if I fail hopefully i'll at least feel really refreshed.

Any advice would be great, Hopefully I will get past SP.
