Weird False Awakening in DILD
I had a really weird FA in a LD on Thursday night which was not very lucid though I did my first reality checks in it!:boogie:
i didn't remember anything before that but I must have been dreaming or something. Anyways I was lying in bed in my dorm, it was really dark like what it's always been like when I sleep there and I thought I was actually awake.
But then I looked out the window and saw the buildings that I would see from my bedroom back home. Then it got weird and the view moved up, down and sideways like a picture and it even flipped to being horizontal. At that point I kind of became aware that I was still dreaming and told myself to do reality checks.
By that time I was facing the wall and it was still really dark, my right arm slipped out from my duvet and I was looking at a dark cirular patch my on my wrist (supposed to be the watch, but I NEVER wear one since I broke mine) and couldn't see anything 'course it was too dark.
I remember my head started to vibrate and it felt like some kinda wind was blowing against it (just like how you feel sometimes when you go from hynogogic into SP or SP into LD, i think). and i knew it would get more lucid and vivid. Unfortunately the sensation didn't go on long enough.
Then I checked my "watch" again, but again it was too dark to see anything; and then the "headrush" thing came again but faded shortly just like last time. After that I couldn't remember anything :embarrassed:
The weird thing is I'm still actually not sure if I was really awake when I "reality checked" 'course I could've been really drowsy and the "headrush" feeling can come when I'm awake eyes-opened (between hynogogic and SP).
It was so dark that not only can I not check the time, but i couldn't even see if my fingers were all tangled up like frog finger webs :D.
One thing was sure though, something was definitely wrapped around my wrist. lol this sounds wrong to sick-minded people. (I'm not one lol)
I think this dream really showed me how different LD dreams vary in HOW LUCID I am and HOW MUCH CONTROL I can exert in the dream. Because I semi-thought I was awake I couldn't do more imaginative things. It's hard as well! I don't ever remember holding my nose, slapping my face or even seeing my arm in any dreams I had. I suppose I just have to do it more in real life.
