My first and best was about 20-30 mph
pretty slow?
ive only flew 1 or two times, and my fastest was around about 30-40 mph
I've gotten to about 600-700 mph before my dream couldnt keep up and failed.
About as fast a a jet fighter.
Much faster than the speed of light, I made it from earth to an extrasolar planet in about 8 seconds once.
The fastest I've flown was from where I live in Kansas, to New York City in about 2 seconds.
Well... I have semi-lucids, where I can control my self, and some of the things around me, but unexpected things still happen quite alot.
Pretty much every other time that I fly I get hit by something, be it car, plane, or UFO.
So I try not to fly too fast... I usually fly about the speed of a car on the highway. 100-150 km per hour
I flew from the tip of Florida to NYC... sort of. I mean I leaped into the air, flew up, looked down and was over a city. But... to me that's not really flying.
The fastest in a lucid (which is less than in a non-lucid) was enough to make everything blurry and perception basically limit to the wind blasting against me and the whistling in my ears- everything else turns into a huge blur. I'm not sure in relative dream miles per hour, but I would say over 300mph. I dunno. Absolutely faster than a passenger plane flies.
I've flown really fast before. I wanted to go to space, but there was this weird invisible barrier thing blocking me, so I went back down to earth and flew as fast as I could upward and tried to smash the barrier, but as I was going back up it wasn't even there. It was wicked though. I tried flying around the world a few nights ago, but I started going so fast that everything blurred and I woke up. It was pretty lame. The process was fun though.
800-1200 Km/hr average.
Has done light speed, but it has so many coldowns that its rarely used.
Mind speed, same than light speed, rarely used.
I tend to fly rather slowly, so as to enjoy it. It's usually more like swimming through air for me, anyway.
Unlimited. At some point, I just wink over in no time. Teleport. This is probably more environmentally friendly, as going super fast seems sometimes to set up shock waves in the meta-media.
I usually have a pretty quick glide/flying effect when I do it cruising at around 20-60 mph on average.
But I have gotten up to lightspeed/neo speed/hancock speed/superman speed/. Instantenous speed flying. You name it.
Normal flying: approx 20 kmph. Superspeed flying: approx 800 kmph!
(12 mph and 480 mph)
How do you people know your speeds? >_>
Simple, logic dreams try to imitate speed of cars/jets/tornadoes/etc, so just tested it with that kind of things whenever the opportunity came, excepting for light/mind, its pretty simple to test those, then again, since its our brains virtually the speed is whatever we want it to be, right? lol
In my only lucid dream, I hovered very slowly for about 15 seconds. My best record!
30 MPH for me! Hell yeah!
wen't from earth to the moon in about 2 seconds.
i have flown about the speed of a plane....600-700
but i do not see the point of going that much faster...considering i just teleport
But what kind of fighter jet? If it was an F-14, did it have it's wings forward of folded back? What altitude was it at? What was the humidity like? Flying level, diving or climbing? Did you hear a sonic boom because that would tell you more specifically what speed it was? Headwind or tailwind? Was the afterburner on or off? Flying with the rotation of the earth or against it? Did you remember to go pee before you took off or are you just gonna change your diaper when you land?
Cheesus Crisp, I wish you people would stop taking everything so literally.
"IT WAS FUCKING FAST, FAST LIKE A FUCKING ATMOSPHERE-FUCKING F-69 STARFUCKER ROCKET"
how's that?
haven't gotten so good at controllin my speed. probably like 15-20 mph max (my best so far). havent tried to fly in a while though.
I made it from earth to Alcor in about 3 seconds. So pretty fast.
I can barely hold myself in the air. Don't ask me to fly yet!
500km/h
I usually fly about as fast as I realize I'm dreaming. It's my favorite thing to do when I'm lucid.
Just kidding.
3.564^26"/ms on a good day.
Before reading this thread, I can't say that I've ever thought about the actual speed of flight in my dreams, relative to real life speeds that is.
So, thinking back on all that I can remember, I'd say typically it's between 10-25mph, kind of like that scene in the movie Hot Shots where Topper and his gf are flying and the bird lands on his hand and he can't shake it off, yeah, about that speed average, but one time I went the speed of a really good roller coaster as I was flying up and kind of rolling over and doing like a death dive back to earth to swish up back up just before hitting the rocks and grass and up again, just zooming and diving all over the place. It was an amazingly fun and freeing experience. I'd say I went up about 300ft, up and down, it was incredibly fun.
But now that you people have put speed in my head, I'm going to try and fly super fast. Never tried before :D
once in a non-lucid dream I flew from ground to space outside earth in a few seconds like in a cartoon or at google-earth speed (2 seconds or so)
I dont know, i'd have to stay off the ground for longer than 10 seconds first.
ive had non lucid dreams where i can fly haha but at those times its either pretty slow, like swimming through the air or just being able jump really high like moon gravity or something. On the other hand while lucid i find flying much easier and can generally fly as fast as i wish.. the best time i can remember i was in the middle of an amazing field landscape and i just launched up like a rocket probably going at lest 1000ft a second. sadly before i knew it i could only the see blackness of space so i drifted back to non lucid dreaming. flying is fun :)
In a non-lucid last night, I flew to the edge of the atmosphere and back again in a few seconds. Not sure how fast that is, but I'm sure that it's pretty fast.
I've gotten to around 60MPH one time. Usually I just hover around like in that old TV show: "My Secret Identity".
I've gotten to a speed before where I was going so fast (didn't break the sound barrier) that my speed sounded like a torpedo or a rocket taking off. If you've ever played the game Superman Returns, you know what I mean. I blacked out because I was going so fast.
Pretty slow, running speed.
It was the cliched flyover of the blue ocean and weaving through cumulus clouds, nothing to write about really.
I seem to fly really slow. I must be low on energy or something. All I know is it normally takes quite a bit of effort.
