i was reading the book a while ago: Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen LaBerge and it said to leave an empty page after every dream. then about 200 pages later (in the book) it still never said anything as to why to leave that empty space.
it did mention to look for dream signs and record them but it never said to use that extra page.
i'm about to finish my dream journal and start a new one but i would like to have my question answered before i do.

Maby for anything you initianaly forgot. Sometimes I remember things about the dream long after I'm done writing it down.
I always leave an empty page. I only write on the front of pages, leaving the back of the page blank. I then use this blank page to expand certain areas of the dream narrative as I remember more. It is common to remember the dream out of sequence, so when you start scribbling leave room on the opposite page to add more notes.
It also helps to doodle, add commentary, or tally up dream numbers and dream signs at a later time.
