Questions on WILD
So, i looked at the WILD technique and decided to try it. But does it work if your just going to bed? Or does it only work when you wake up 5-6 hours after going to sleep and staying up for half an hour?
I think that the thing is i have school(high school) and i don't wanna be waking up at four in the morning just to ATTEMPT to lucid dream. And once a week doesn't seem sufficient for me to try and achieve that goal. What methods do you suggest most? (And i know it depends on who you are and blah blah blah. i just wanna hear your opinions.) Also, will the WILD work when i take a nap? Cuz i take those quite often. :P

5-6 hours just means "wake up right before the longest REM period"
5-6 hours is right before the longest REM period for someone with an average sleep pattern, it differs from person to person.
You could try a DILD, but with a watch. What you could do is use a watch that beeps every hour. Every hour, in reality, perform a reality check, just to get used to doing reality checks, so it becomes completely normal, and you should keep the watch on or put it near the bed so it beeps while you sleep, too. In a few weeks the RCing should sink into your dreaming, so when the watch beeps during REM sleep, you would perform a reality check in your sleep, and you guess what happens. This only works if your a light sleeper though.
