Doing reality checks too early = bad?

Just as I start thinking random thoughts, I kep reality checking to see if i'm actually dreaming. and this just makes my mind wander off the dream and onto the fact that i'm trying to lucid dream and it's like a repetition :(

You are trying something like a WILD? Are you doing them subconsciously, or are you really not sure if your dreaming so you do them?

well as i close my eyes, i can feel im dropping off, but im concious, my body tenses.. then i start thinking weird things, and thats when i do reality checks, should i do realtiy checks later when i am MORe dreaming?

Well you need to be dreaming before you do it. Your not really dreaming, just thinking of different things. You might even see stuff but its not really a dream. It sounds like your getting really close though.

So yea try waiting a little longer.
