WILDs and a freaky imagination

So I recently found out about WILDs from a friend and did a whole bunch of research about it. Anyway last night I tried it but the auditory hallucinations were so freaky that it woke me completely up. My mind for some reason tries to scare me a lot of the time during the day and I frequently imagine really disturbing thoughts for no reason. Will the visual and auditory hallucinations be too intense for me if I try to WILD again tonight, I dont want to hallucinate that the ring girl is eating my face while im in SP.

The great thing about the hypnagogic hallucinations that can come with WILD is that they are hallucinations. If you can just stay calm and ride through it not only have you gotten to a LD, but you've also faced a fear. I say go for it! And think positive!

You seem to think that your mind is your enemy. It is not.

Have fun with it. Say, "Is that all you got?", or "C'mon, that wasn't scary at all".

Loose your attachment to these thoughts. Who cares if its a really disturbing thought? It doesnt matter, because thats all it will ever be - a thought. You however are a living consciousness.

If the ring girl does show up, talk to her. Ask her a funny question, or even better, eat her face off.

LOL! That is exactly how you should feel about scary HH! Have a sense of humor with it and it is much easier to deal with.

On a side note, if you want to try controlling your HH, for about an hour before bed play solitare on your computer. Then go right to bed. A study found that when people did this almost all of them had solitare cards for HH!
