FA and closing eyes to exit a dream

Hey I'm wondering if these are like semi-lucid dreams. I'm new to Lucid dreaming.

The other day I went to sleep, woke up in the night and attempted a FILD but in the end I think I just went to sleep normally. Then I woke up did a reality check then I woke up again. The thing is, I don't know if I really did wake or if it was a FA. Was this lucid?

Also last night I was dreaming and I saw three people I know all dressed the same, and one was on roller skates. I followed them then we went up an escalator but I couldnt stay on the ledge and instead followed the escalator belt round and was gonna fall so I closed my eyes because I didn't want to watch then I woke up. Is this like a semi-lucid because I don't think I was in control but I made myself wake I think?

I have a pretty bad dream recall so it's wierd I remembered those dreams. It's improving now but I think I may start a dream journal.

Hi there :) You should start a dream journal, it will help you SO much. Anyway, the dreams you described are not Lucid. In an LD you will be aware that you are IN a dream, not in a situation you dont want to be in. Just keep working at it though.
