Exploiting a nightmare and turning it into a LD

Hey guys, after a month of not being able to try much in the way of LDing lately I've done a few WBTBs but no luck. However, this morning I kept having extremely brief bouts of a nightmare that I have now and again. Well, it's not a horrific nightmare but it does freak me out as I believe that I'm still in bed. Basically I feel as if one of my teeth in the back of my mouth is longer than usual which means I can't clench my jaw down and when I do my tooth gets lodged behind one on my bottom row. It's quite disturbing but after a few times of waking up I thought to myself, "If I feel this again do a RC". I thought about it for less than an instant and turned to my side. Low and behold I suddenly felt my tooth ache and I tried to spit it out on the bed. It's then when remembered to do an RC and became lucid.

Now, this nightmare isn't a constant thing as the last time I had it was a few months back but it feels good that I exploited a nightmare and turned it into a LD. Sure the LD wasn't that amazing as I merely walked around my house but it's great to have one after a dry spell. :D

Have any of you ever done something similar?

Yup. It's a good method. If you get freaked out by a dream, waking up in a cold sweat, there's a chance it will be reoccurring. You can transfer your reality check to that specific dreamsign immediately, and become lucid in the very next dream! (Provided the next dream contains the same nightmare)

I've done that with a chasing dream before.

I almost did. I had SP and in it I was being kidnapped.I heard someone come into my room and they put me in a bag, but i knew it was SP. I think I woke up instead of turning it into a ld.
