Using autosuggestion - the most effective method?

I've been using an application known as 'Subliminal Flash' - subliminal flash enables users to create their own affirmations to be displayed to a rate as to where the terms are unseen to the conscious mind; you may notice flashes of sentences but won't be able to read them due to the rate at which they're being displayed.

However, I'm unsure as to how I should create affirmations. I've been using the term "I" in a way as such: "I will lucid dream" - but I'm unsure as to whether this is effective. I know if I suggest - "You may" - to someone rather than to directly order them - "You will" - they're more likely to respond; I would suggest... "You may want to move to your left" - they move; "You will move to your right" - they question the authority; I'm unsure as to whether I should try replacing "I" with "may" throughout the process of autosuggestion - can anyone confirm me?
