Hi!

I searched the forums here and found Winamp's Milkdrop synchronized music visualizer mentioned in the off-topic forums, but I've found that watching its geometric color patterns before sleeping really enhances my dreaming. Milkdrop is free to download, and is included with Winamp. There is also a plugin called shpeck to use Milkdrop with another favorite music player, foobar2000.

I normally have lucid dreams about once a month without doing anything special (which has been my approach lately), but since discovering Milkdrop about a week ago, I had repeated lucid dreams one morning (wake up, go back to sleep and right into lucidity, 3 times) and another night I had a couple. In general, I have had more dreams, more vivid dreams, and more pleasant dreams.

Lying down with my eyes closed, I see complex swirling patterns and light, which are easily used to move forward into a dream state by looking for patterns that look like scenes from waking life. I used to see only darkness with my eyes closed.

Anyway, something to think about. Milkdrop doesn't even require discipline to sit and watch, it's engaging, beautiful and hypnotic.
