making FA's useful
anyone have any tricks/tips for turning FA's - in which I and to my knowledge most ppl experience a lack of control and difficulty getting out of bed and sometimes a feeling of drunkenness/disorientation/etc. I've tried using my stabilization techniques but they didn't help. I have to say I was able to break out of that once or twice to have a 'regular' LD, however I have no idea what I did differently.

My first LD ( since joining ) also the best started with an FA. What I did was walk out a door and picture the seen to the other side. It worked.

just relize you are dreaming as much as you can..
Think of it just like wakeing up in the morning, except you can do anything.
(Thats what I do, it helps alot)

In my FA's that simply means I wake up or start the dream in my bed where I already was so I have a hard time descerning dreaming from actually being awake. However I don't usually experience the heavyness/drunkeness/disorientation that are sometimes experienced in dreams.
More often than not my FA's lead to a LD based on the odd circumstances that usually occur thme.

the best thing you can ever do in FA? WILD...WILD!! WILD WILD WILD!

My LD's tends to make get a FA. In my last LD where I got a FA after it I actually acted out my dream, I was trying to fly with my hands like I was in my LD so I thought it was real, but then I thought "Ain't I suppose to be in a SP when I have a LD?" and then I woke up. Now I have teached my self to do a RC every time I go to bed and every time I wake up. So I did a FA right after my LD ended this morning and I went into a FA, first I wrote in my DJ in my FA but when I did the RC I woke up.

Man, this used to happen to me SO much. I hated it, and it really made me kind of give up on lucids for a while. I only made it out of bed once while I was having the FA. (Every other time I would only be able to lift my arm, but my body was really stuck to the bed, no matter how much I told myself it was a dream)
The one time I made it, I had seen a pair of my boxers on the floor, and I told myself, just focus on picking up those boxers and I will forget about being stuck. I did it and it worked. But other times I haven't really been able to see something and focus on it.
I assume this will still happen to me, but I really haven't been focussing at all anymore on achieving it.
