My eye wants to open while attempting to WILD

(Note: I am not experienced at WILD at all, only having tried twice in 2 days for 2hrs, using several techniques. I find that staring at H.I. is the easiest and fastest one for me.)

Today I was really getting into the H.I., my body was numb and the colours/shapes were intensifying, but my right eyelid ( was laying on my left side ) started to twitch! Like it wanted to open just a tiny bit , not fully. It got so annoying, I had to squeeze it tight so it would stop. I then decided to switch to my right side, so the eyelid would be closed shut by the pillow. Needless to say, I had to start the process over. The same happened with my left eye, it woudn't stay naturally shut (I would describe my eyelid wanting to simpy "go up", kind of like submerging a volleyball underwater). I then put my hand on my eye to keep it shut, but it wasn't a comfortable position to be in. Is this bad? Will I be able to fix it? What can I do?

Well, if I were you, I would refrain from opening my eyes, not only could you snap yourself out of it, but you could also see something really unpleasant or scary too...

One time I Saw a zombie.... last time I saw a rainbow man! It was insane! He had a top hat on and a cane and he was all sparkly as well! I laughed though so I broke out of it :(

i get that sometimes that my eyes try to just start opening on there own,i have to fight to keep them close, but when i do, it mostly breaks me from the wild. Maybe when i open my eyes, i'll use my mind to see two hot girls making out.

Get this. I was going to open my eyes so I pictures sexy time so I didn't see some scary thing, my body moved. I think it was a dream body so you can try this to speed it up.

Ergh, this happened to me the other day. My left eye opened slowly without me noticing and im kinda thinking "OH wait, i can see some kinda of light maybe a rooms starting to form in my mind" When i realized it was the light out my window i felt like an idiot :P

there is also the factor of bright lights before you go to bed.

dont look at any bright lights, half an hour before you go to bed. this can be ahard as all lights and maps are bright, so i would suggest reading a magazine or book, using one of those tiny mag lights.

Use self-hypnosis as you are laying there.
(When you WILD you are basicaly already in a hypnotic state)
Just say "My eyes fell as if they are glue shut. the harderI try to open them the harder and harder it is to open them" (Look up with your eyes closed about were youe eyebrows are. this will help alot!

Good tip magical mike...... I have the same problem and I wear an eye mask but my eye still wants to open.... I tried looking up this morning and it worked :)

Youre not the only idiot that this has happened to :). I was so sure it was happening and noticed it was my room lol

i wear an eyemask in mornings and it helps a lot. i wear it tight and pull it down low so no light seeps in

This happens to me sometimes too, in fact, last night when I was trying to WILD. I realized that its all in your head. It may feel like your making an effort to keep your eyes shut but your not. Its just that you're focusing on relaxing your eyes too hard and having adverse reactions as a result. This is what it was for me, so I hope it helps some.
