retaining lucidity?
Hi,
I've used to be on this forum, but as I got buzy, I completely forgot about lucid dreaming.
Until starting about 2 weeks ago, about 2 - 3 times, I would start in my dreams realizing that I was dreaming, just randomly out of the blue. Upon realizing, I would do the tricks I remembered, such as spinning, and It would get pretty real, and then I remember once I was pretty shocked at who real everything felt.
However, each time, I can only remain lucid for about 5 minutes, before things start spiraling out of my control again.
I was wonder how I can keep staying lucid?
- Ever since I've joined, I only had low level lucidities, nothing where I could control. but in these dreams, I could control myself for about 5 minutes.
Thanks

Welcome back :) You're lucky to have spontaneous lucids like this. Have you been doing anything to encourage them, or do they just occur on their own since you learned about lucid dreaming?
I think everyone has problems like yours to some degree. It is tricky to keep from waking up and keep from losing your lucidity. Have you checked out the Dream Stabilization Tutorial yet?

There may be some tricks in there that could help you.

Hi,
Thanks for the guide you posted up. I guess i'm also going to do some more reading on the site.
About 2 years ago, when I started reading about Lucid Dreaming, I never had any lucid reams before. After a couple months I could only attain very low levels of lucidity (no control or whatsoever), for a whilee. Then I started getting buzy, and didn't spend a lot of time thinking about it anymore.
Now suddenly, I got dreams where I could get lucidity like I described in the first post. So I became interested again. I did think about it lucid dreaming ever since I joined the site once it awhile, but nothing serious.
thanks

Also be sure to check out the DEILD technique, in case you DO wake up. I think it's mentioned at the end of the stabilization tutorial.
