This has got to be most ridiculous Reality Check EVER!!! Grrrrr!!

I had this weird dream the other night and an unplanned RC happened and I was treated to a really brief DILD.

I was crouching on the floor with this makeshift ice container (really just a polystyrene box filled with ice cubes) that you see at fish markets in front of me, there was this girl standing next to me.

I opened the container picking up the lid and sees a fish in there, but I grab a slice of beef cold cut instead LOL and munch it instead; while putting the cover back at the same time.

Then, I decided to eat the raw fish as well after chewing on the raw juicy cut :shock: and so picks the cover up again but discovers that the raw cod or sardine or whatever-it-was was gone! (That's the RC!!! LOL):(, and at this point I snapped and realised: "this cannot be!" lol and get sucked into the dream.:embarrassed:

This is unbelievable, I'm speechless, I mean are you kidding me? lol. What's the odds of an RC like that, and me wasting the opportunity completely!!! lol :banana::bowdown:

Strange thing is the fish container and the girl were both gone, and I slowly spun into what looked like a bathub, looking at the yellow-grey tiles on the wall lol; I was damn wtf, is that what I'm thinking of? Have a lucid shower?!!? My mind just seem to go blank whenever it happens, and the visuals soon broke down piece by piece like jigsaws and I opened my eyes...lol

Which was the reality check? I'm confused :( Awesome job on the lucid, though :D

LOL the RC is when I realise that I was the only one close enough to have been able to take the fish out/munch it; and because no one came near it either and I didn't look away, the fish could not have disappeared! :embarrassed: LMAO.

See it's so pathetic and bizarre that you don't even notice it LOL.

But that's not really a RC right? I mean it was just a cue to lucidity? Or did you suspect it was a dream, then test it wondering if the thing would still be there? Sounds more like you just became lucid without having to RC to me, which is even more badass than having to RC :D

That would mean I've only had one RC ever, and that was when I dreamed that I was sleeping in the dark in my bed lol. But nothing lucid happened after.

The thing is, don't you think it's a bit pointless and impossible sometimes to do RCs? I mean most of our dreams are so bizarre, unreal and non-sensical that the only transition you have is snapping from an idiot who thinks floating is a normal and doable activity to an awakened guy who's like "OMFG mummy I'm floating a mile midair arrrrrgghh" LMAO!!:boogie::D.

Nah, cause doing the reality checking is about increasing your overall awareness, so that that insanity stands out as more dreamlike and crazy, causing you to question the dream around you. And then you RC, and realize yes it's a dream ;)
