reoccuring places minus reoccuring events...?

Does anyone have semi-regular dreams about places that you've been to before in dreams...but every time you visit them, the dream's not the same?

I don't really know whether or not to call this a reoccuring dream, because the subject matter--even the overall theme--is usually different each time, but it's a place I'm "familiar" with in my dreams.



It's worth noting that most of the "familiar" dream places I visit are imaginary...at least to my knowledge (that is to say at least, I've definately never been to them). Most of the time they are like Brigadoon; showing up in different locations and only at certain times.

[ For example, last night I had one about Cranebury or Cranberry (still not sure which, but I usually read it as the latter), randomly showing up nearby my house. As I walked through it, I knew there would be a place called the "The Scoop" to my right, and that they had really good ice-cream, so I stopped in on my way through the town. I'm familiar with the stores and some of the houses in this town...but it's never in the same place twice. Once it showed up in the middle of a dream I had about Las Vegas. ]


Just curious to know if anyone else gets this sort of thing.
If you do, what are some of the places you often visit?

My dreams regularly take place in my grandparents' village. And I don't even go often there!

Hm, I has been to the same dream-location many times, and every time the location is the same, but the plot different, does that count?
Anyway... I don't think I can name the places, never ask how the planet/town is called <.<

Well, not often, but I sometimes go back to the same dreamplaces in different dreams.
There's this cathedral in an altered version of my hometown where I've been at least 3 times. It never looks quite the same but I know it's the same place. And I think I've been twice to one same imaginary town by the sea.
I travel a lot in my dreams and rarely to real world places. :cheeky:
