Question about lucidity
Ive had lucids before, one extremely real, but aboutfive secons long beore i woke up, and a few that were a little blurry in my mind. My question is, when youre lucid, are you comepletely aware like in real life, is your brain thinking like it does in real life, or are some decisions made for you and lucidity isnt completley controlled?

Define Lucid:
Aware you are dreaming. This does not mean you have control, only that you know that you are in a dream. While you may realize that you are dreaming only for a second, you are still lucid. Even if you wake up as a result of becoming lucid, you are still, by definition, lucid dreaming.

well, some parts of your brain are turned off but you are quite awake.

And some people talk about 'low-level' lucids where their logic and reasoning and memory is a bit fuzzy. Say, you'll know it's a dream, but if you see something scary you'll still be terrified. Or, you'll find yourself giving in to impulses that you normally wouldn't (like doing things that, in retrospect, were a waste of a dream instead of a goal you wanted to accomplish... uncontrollable dream sex comes to mind).
One of the best ways to deal with this is to stabilize your lucidity immediately upon attaining it. Really just take a moment to think about "Hm, I'm in a dream. What does this mean. Oh. Anything is possible (= dream control), nothing can hurt me (= no fear), Oh yes, these were my goals (= memory equivalent to that of waking life).
