      Conversation about dream world (LD)

I had a very intense Lucid Dream the other night and I came in contact with 4 characters who were willing to answer any question I had.

I've attempted to converse about the dream world for the past year or so throughout my dreams, I've had a few successful attempts but when I awoke I could not remember the context of the conversation.

This time was a perfect success.
      The Conversation went like this,

"Where are we?" "we are here" he replied. "Where is here?" "Infinity" he replied "How does the dream world work?" "There's no distance or time like your used to, you exist here because you manifested here" He said it as if it was obvious. "Who are you? How did we come in contact?" "You know us and we know you" He pointed to one of the people in the group and said "You know him from England" then pointed to someone else saying "you've known him forever, we all know each other, do we really need to tell you this?" They asked why I always ask questions and why I don't just enjoy it, then they pulled me out of my thinking and took me on an adventure through the dream world. It was so strange because I knew these people so well, better than any of my actual friends!! Yet I've never seen there faces before. I was very comfortable with them and felt like I could trust them with my life. When I'm in a lucid state and with characters from my dreams, there is a closeness with everyone that is undeniable, it's pure understanding of each other.

I keep seeing this certain character in my lucid dreams that seems as if they are watching over me. It always appears in a different form, once it was a friend from 6th grade, another an old lady at a family gathering, once as a beautiful girl, a dude in his mid 20's, ext ext. But it's always the same "energy" i guess you could call it, I get the same feeling from this character every time, and it always gives me this smirk, like a mother would when she's watching her young kid having fun in a park. It's always comforting, and I've had a conversation with it before but I can never recall what we talked about when I awake. Has anyone else ever had an encounter like this before? I've looked into it and the closest I can find to the subject is in Don Juan's "The Art of Dreaming" where he talks about certain beings that may show up often in your dreams to share information. I'd love some info on this if anyone has any, thanks in advance!

There have been a few prominent characters in my dream - two of them were animals, one a human - though I'm certain they were all 'different'. Also unlike your dream characters, mine never told me anything worth listening to . They appeared in non-lucids, and behaved normally to me.

Are you lucid often? It seems like things are pretty interesting when you get the chance to be. Maybe you should start a dream journal here on the site, I'd love to read about more dreams like this.

wow that sounds so cool, I dunno about beings, but if its the subconcious I guess it is a pretty cool part of it, I dunno too about any DC that makes me feel comfortable as I like fights and generally ignore anyone who isn't willing to fight <.<

I know what you are talking about , I once had a real cool closeness feeling with a female DC, but I think its all part of the subconcious.
I do enjoy reading Carlos Castaneda and think The Art of Dreaming is a great book but I fear it could mislead some people, because Don Juan tells that DC's are beings from another dimension who want to steal your energy and thats why they are so friendly and I'm not sure about that hehe

I'm still searching for my dream guide though..

it could be possible you were experiencing a conversation with yourself.

castaneda talks about the inorganic beings (not DCs) a little differently from what you describe. they're almost two dimensional (like sideways tree trunks) and don't really speak. They invite one into another dimension, where one is invited to stay, yadayada...
you don't really have anything to fear. not to try and debunk castaneda, but I doubt you're being targeted by those beings. unless you've been losing more and more 'scouts', actually pseudophysically touched one and grabbed its energy (as he described) and you've been contacted by your dreaming ally (which is more like navi from zelda) you're not shifting into an experience like that.

that person/thing that keeps popping up in your dreams could be your dream guide. i don't know too much about them, i don't even know if theyre real. but i'm sure if you search the site a bit more you'll find something about them.

yeah once in a dream I came across this blonde chick- she was wearing jeans and a white shirt. Though I felt a very connected to her, like she was a part of me and we both knew that (in a completely non-sexual way btw) , like we were family only much closer than that.
TAKE DV members advice with caution! some have had zero or 1-2 LD's yet act like gurus

Hmm, I've had my share of beings in my dreams before.
      But non-lucid.
      That's cool though.
Keep trying, I am too. ^^.

      Cheers,
