Lucid Perception Shift
How many of you have had experiences, either in lucid or regular dreams, where a dream character or a certain event made you realize something about yourself, or the world, that you found to be completely unknown or alien to you?
For example, a DC telling you something about yourself that you previously never thought of, or even telling you about things you thought you had no prior knowledge of. To my perspective, this phenomenon seems to mainly happen due to the fact that I have a more direct connection to my subconscious during dreams. This allows my brain to share subconsciously gathered information to my conscious mind in various ways. Makes sense, right?
This got me wondering, have you guys ever had an experience where you switched bodies or personalities with somebody else in a dream? Did your mental state stay the same or did you find yourself thinking differently...perhaps a little more like the person you just became?
I ask this question because I find it interesting how, while awake, we can put ourselves in others' shoes and experience a limited perception shift. Well, how about doing so in a lucid dream? Do you think since the bridge to the subconscious is opened, you could shift perceptions on an even deeper level?
By that, I mean that it seems like it would be even easier to forget about the 'self' and allow our subconscious to really show us how we deeply perceive others, or how we think we really perceive others. By others, I mostly mean people that you already know well, and that you have been exposed to quite a bit, such as family members, friends, etc. I know this probably sounds confusing.. but I am really just wondering how much more our subconscious knows about others around us, compared to our awake, conscious mind.
If this makes any sense to you, what do you think about it? Perhaps you even have personal anecdotes relating to this idea? I would love to hear anything you have to share.

I have had my subconscious reveal things about myself during LDs or other dreams. Sometimes the information relates to issues or problems I've been having in waking life, sometimes not.
I've also switched bodies with other people or animals or things in dreams (lucid or not) and experienced sharp perception and thought changes. I really enjoy the experience of seeing how others might think and see the world.
