Well I am just wondering how many of us people are keeping this whole lucid dreaming thing a secret. I know I am! Well... my girlfriends knows but that's about it. You can select more than one if necessary.

I've been trying to get my girlfriend to try it for a while now.. she's just not into it like I am though. I've told almost everyone else I know too, including people at work... they think it's some sort of cult thing. Some people just don't understand I guess.
i told my dad JUST the lucid dream part. hed think iwas a stoner if i went into detail about wilds and stuff.
i told my friend eddie and hes trying to do it too.
i told my exgf(gf at the time) and she probably thinks its wierd but shes a loser so idgaf
thats it i think.
I tell anyone who asks, or anyone who gets to me when I'm in dreaming mood <.< (so everyone)
my dad is the only person I know who I can have long conversations with about dreaming.
ya I only told my parents and a couple of friends who didnt seem to care very much. THey pretty mich stop listening when i tell them about dream journals.:P
I tell everyone anytime the topic comes up. Spread the LD fun!!!
Well my friends a natural, and he's the only other person I know who does it.
My immediate family listens to me when I talk about it, and my sister and I discuss dreaming sometimes, but that's the extenet of it.
I told my family about it, don't see a need to tell any of my friends. Everyone is busy with their own schedule. In my family, we talk a lot about the different dreams we have and their possible meaning :D
I told a few friends, randomly came up in conversation one day.
People who don't know about it seem to be amazed when you tell them.
I've been tring to talk about it with every opportunity however people usually react either like this: "WTF?!? Are you crazy?" or "Really? So cool. Anyway you heard about...".
As far as I'm concerned they can just go ahead and say that I'm crazy...wouldn't be a first and I don't mind really :)
It frustrates me because during the day I want to share my experiences, but no one seems to be interested.
I think Lucid dreaming is a thing that you can't experience alone, you need someone else.
This is why this is THE perfect forum :)
I have only told my Parents, Sister and one friend...They all looked at me in a way which seems like they think I'm crazy.
Sometimes I get annoyed when they dismiss it as being stupid and not true. But I no there all missing out.
I tell my family and friends sometimes. They don't get it, but that's okay. They'll soon learn...
When I tell people about lucid dreaming, I first ask them if they ever had a dream in which they realised they were dreaming. Most people answer yes and that way they look less weird at me when I tell them what lucid dreaming is.
lucid dreamings not's something commonly accepted in mainstrean society, more people probably know who on-dancing with the stars, this week, then what it is, explaining to others about the exsistance an unknown, mysterious, spiritual dimension, expect a fairshare of bias, ignorant and superstitous responses, i think the last person i mentioned it to wanted to randomly drug test me
I tell close friends, but normally only if they bring up dreaming.
Or, like Walms, if I'm in a dreaming mood.
hmm, I think the best way to tell it to someone is to do as mysterious dreamer said. Then it would be easier to discuss the subject and people won't look oddly at you when you mention it :) I do have to admit though, when I first started practicing to LD, I had my suspicions that it was impossible even with all the different experiences that I read on this and other websites. Once I had my first, my suspicions entirely left, but, I haven't been able to LD even once since then :(
I told my family and friends, and the only ones interested in it were my father (he's interested in how the brain works) and my cousin (he likes wet dreams). The other ones don't give a sh*t about it, they just look at me like I'm crazy.
Only my girlfriend and my best friend.
I find it best not to fire the lucid-cannon around others, some find the concept insane.
kind of surprised by the results. I expected more "it's a secret"
:)
I've kept it a complete secret.
All the worlds in my head are mine alone. :D
Well, most people like to let their family and friends know about something as cool as Lucid Dreaming. I think the only way that any of them will pursue it provided they aren't interested in it, is if they have a LD of their own, so, that at least the concept that it's impossible will be gone :P
About half the people that I've brought it up to will just say, "Oh, yeah, I do that all the time. Since I was four I've done that. Oh, you're saying that it's some cool skill? I geuss I'm just good at it without practice. Speaking of the metaphysical, did you hear about how I can raise my own body temperature as well as the people near me? I'll show you some time....." The other half ask a few questions about it out of politeness, and since I can usually tell when they aren't that interested I'll give them short and courteous answers so that they can introduce another topic.
Meh. It's why I usually don't mention it much.
