what date is your dreams?

Is everyone else's dreams always in the present? I saw someone mention time travel as a goal they have. has anyone every time traveled, or just even dreams about being in the past?

Usually mine are set in the present. Occasionally I'll have dreams from settings in the past year, or future year (1/5th?). Rarely (handful), I'll have super futuristic dreams, and those are fun. Probably inspired by sci-fi movies.

I've had very few dreams where I'm not in this decade. Oldest was middle-ages.

Probably influenced by your interests. I'm more intrigued by how often people have dreams about the recent (past and/vs. future) because of the implications on the function of dreaming it could raise.

oh yeah, to answer your questrrion, i have never been in the past, but sometimes the future. i would really love to go to the medieval ages if i ever get lucid.

Time is never really a sense I get from my dreams, but from the general ambiance they are all modern, unless I dream of some very specific historical event.

future- One dream with a valid date in 2029. One with a lot of futuristic hi-tech consumer goods. Those seem to be part of a collection of dreams where it's generally the future and I try to visit the places on the earth I'm familiar with now, only they've all changed and either the people have all turned mean or else they really really hate me. With the backstory to that being that I was allowed to make the visit to show me that I shouldn't stay attached to my memories of now because I could never go back. A few dreams so far in the future that there's no way to figure out the date in any meaningful way, except to say that humans are long extinct.

past- Some dreams of a long ago people who lived before the ice age ended, in a place that is now underwater because the glaciers melted. One or two where I was forcibly summoned to the europe of the middle ages.

Just about all of mine of been set in the present, I don't think I've ever had a dream where I was in the past or future. It would be neat to go to either of them in a dream to see what it's like.

Time is a big part in my dreams. My earliest dream was with a bunch of cavemen. It was right outa altered states. Also for some reason the date june 49 comes up a lot.

I've had childhood dreams, as I'm sure everybody here has had.

Can't say I've had any future ones. I'm not really interested in Sci-Fi, though.
