nothing happened
Well, a few days ago i got into a DILD. It was about homicidal sumo wrestlers and brainwashed friends. I raised my hand to kill some shit....
And nothing happened.
I knew it was a dream, and I was screaming at them "THIS IS A DREAM" but nothing happened. I ended up running away and scaling down a building to escape, then got to a mall. It was selling electronics, and everything was very white and brightly lit. There, while they were chasing me, I tried again. I managed to fling a TV into a wall, but when they came nothing happened when I tried to throw them around. I kicked one of them in the balls, then ran off. I tried to walk through a wall to escape, but banged into it. Keep in mind I was shouting all this while that I was dreaming, but I couldn't hurt any of them or escape at all. In the end I bashed a hole in a TV screen to escape. Even the screen took hella long to break.
After that I fell through the stargate inside the TV (don't ask) and woke up.
But why wasn't I able to do anything? I knew it was a dream

This happens somtimes. Seems like you just need to work on your Dream Control a bit. Maybe if you take the time to slow down and think about/visualize what you want to happen.
You could also read this tutorial on dream control. It really helped me when I was having some of the same problems.

These problems with dream control is forms a viscious cycle:
One member will join and read that others have bad dream control - The more they read the more laws are set in the dream realm, these include stuff like Orgasms wake you up, It's very easy to fail at dream control, Lucid dreams are short, etc. - Finally the new member will come back and post they have had the same problems hence setting the way for another new member to do the same.
This is all ridiculus but there is nothing wrong with why it's happening to you. While you thought you were fully convinced you could do anything b/c you were dreaming, you subconscious and schemata are recalling these "Laws" laid by you reading posts here.
If even after the tutorial you still can't control your dreams you have to figure out a way to take charge of the dreamworld yourself. I've only ever had one problem with dream control, although telling you with it won't help you one bit. Once I understood a bit about my schemata dream control was easier

Not really, I didn't even read much on this forum till that happened. I've never had problems before, usually I would kill some people, fly around and then wake up. This one had me running from them. I knew I could affect them, but when I tried, nothing happened.
Now I know how those guys from heroes felt during the eclipse. Also, being a badass normal in a dream isn't fun at all.
