auto lucidity?
ive been getting pretty lazy i guess because i notice no progress in my lucidity in dreams...
but two nights ago i was having a really detailed dream and all of a sudden i thought im dreaming..stay calm.. and i jumped off a building and started to fly... this lasted like 30 seconds.. but the thing is that i didnt control myself jumping off the building it was like i had no control of my 1st ld... if it even was a ld..
has this ever happened to any one and how do i gain more control over my dreams

That actually happened to me a lot when I first stared LDing. My first goal was to fly, so that's what I sort of automatically did each time I found myself in a lucid. All you need to do is remember to stop and think before you do anything.

You knew you were dreaming, so you were lucid. No ifs, ands or buts. :)
Spontaneous Lucidity is common. Out of the 13 I've had, only one wasn't spontaneous. Next time your Lucid, really think about what you want to do so you don't do something spur of the moment. Calm yourself and try to stay in one place for a few seconds so you actually can think. Have you looked at the Dream Control tutorial? That has a lot of useful info.

The biggest piece of advice I can give is to stabilize your dream before you do anything else!!! Don't just make sure that the dream around you is 'physically' stable, but stabilize your mind as well. Think about what you want to do, decide if it is worth doing, and then decide how you want to do it. Don't just run with a dream, because a lot of the time you'll either get caught up in it and lose lucidity or do something 'stupid' that you'll regret later, or wake up. By stupid things you'll regret later, I mean things that you feel are a waste of a lucid dream, time that you think should have been spent more wisely.
For example, a lot of people get caught up in the quest for lucid sex as soon as they become lucid. They may be lucid, but they're still on auto-pilot, looking for the nearest piece of dream ass and forgetting every other goal or idea they had been cultivating for their next lucid dream. Then they have some dream sex, wake up nearly immediately, and a lot of times regret the course the dream took. Take a moment, force yourself to pause and think and reason. Don't ONLY be lucid, but be fully conscious and logical, too. Being lucid just means you're aware it's a dream. There's a lot more to lucid dreaming than this, and it's only the first of many hurdles if you want to have good control over your dreams.
