I don't think it should, as long as you're maintaining a consistent sleep schedule.
they would probably be more video game themed.
I agree - it isn't good for your health, but it may actually increase the chance of you becoming lucid. This would be good especially if you play rather unrealistic games.
I would guess if you play video games all the time, that some of these games reflect into your dream, no? That you've had a dream in which you are the character in a video game? These dreams must have some unrealistic elements that can cause you to RC and therefore become lucid.
i'd probably have to disagree unless he's this guys doing reality checks everytime something unusual happens in the game.
other than that, if hes dreaming that hes playing a video game, then there might not be room left to question reality. i think it would make it more difficult because if your dreaming that your playing a video game, thats basically what your mind is set to.
i guess it does depend on the video game too. some final fantasy games allow you to enter your name over the default and it is very dream like.
For me, video games are very bad for dreaming. I get too into them, so that my mind is too much on the game. That not only keeps me from concentrating on inducing Lucids, but completely kills my recall as well. As such, I no longer play them.
No video game can match a great dream. Plus, dreams are free, and take up no extra time. :)

I don't know for sure. I play video games a lot, but I still have lucid dreams, not a huge amount but still some nonetheless. My recall isn't great either, but not terrible. It is true that I do have a good amount of video-game related dreams, but I usually dream that I'm "in" the video game, so that doesn't really interfere with me realizing I'm dreaming.
