Probably because you can't go directly into it. Most people just want to go to sleep and enter the LD, a DEILD however, requires you to wake up after being asleep.
It's very effective and easy to do, and I think a lot of people do it, but it's not one of the more discussed induction techniques because of it's simplicity. I personally use it every time I wake up, and it works like a charm. :D
oh, i c. thx a lot :fro:
It happens to me all the time on accident, because I usually wake up at least twice in the middle of the night, and I get comfortable to the point of SP much quicker than my consciousness fading.
i wish i did that lol
I'd had a DEILD before I even joined DV, or researched lucid dreams (I knew they existed though). It seems a lot of people have troubles and limitations with them. They say they have to lay perfectly still after waking up to have one. I, for one, can roll over, adjust my posture, whatever and have one. I can even get up and go to the bathroom and have one (if I focus really hard). However, I find DEILD's to be very unstable. This, in my opinion, is their only weak point. Their selling point is that you can chain them together. At more than one time, I've chained together a DILD, a couple DEILD's, and maybe a lucid FA within 15 minutes.
what do you mean by unstable?
Well, I tend to wake up more easily from DEILD's than DILD's.
DEILDs and DILDs are easy, but WILDs are more effective in gaining lucidity.
yes, but it takes weeks to be able to WILD
no, i did mean the spinning technique. but where i learned about it, it was used for prolonging lucids. i guess it can be used according to the situation you're in. thank you, i didn't know that :bigteeth:
Yes I can tell you why.
DEILD is indeed incredibly easy and effective (my personal term for it is Dream Chaining) however... I find when I DEILD I risk losing my memory of the lucid dream I've just come out of so usually I stop and record it on my voice recorder and by then it's too late to DEILD as I'm too awake.
:)
I would probably only chain two lucids then write them down, then chain two lucids then write them down... and so on... i have really good dream recall if i meditate on it, im sure i could remember two... and kewl watch :bigteeth:
hehe thanks MD. Yeah it's certainly a fun watch :)
Yeah, I'm pretty sure I would actually remember a lucid dream but I've always chickened out and chosen to record rather than continue dreaming. Like you, if I lie there and sort of meditate I can usually recall any dream on any night. Maybe I will try DEILD again soon :)
lol k :), and pm me about how it works out 4 u, i am very interested :bigteeth:
