About how long did you have to do reality checks before you started doing them in your dreams? I know it takes about 2 weeks to make a habit, but is that different with this stuff?

About how long did you have to do reality checks before you started doing them in your dreams? I know it takes about 2 weeks to make a habit, but is that different with this stuff?
You don't want to make it a habit. A habit is something you do without thinking, or with very little thought. The purpose of a reality check is to make you think. Instead, I did it whenever I thought something was odd. I also did them when I woke up, because of FA's. I had a lot of them after that (I have a theory about that rotating around sub-conscious awareness and such, but it's long and complicated and off-topic).
I think it's different for everyone. Are you keeping a log of your dreams? Figure out what your dream signs are and do one every time a dream sign comes up in real life.
I do mine every time an appliance doesn't work or the lights flicker or whenever I think about it. (Or whenever I come here) My dream signs are a little strange to do RCs with because they are my mom and my best friend, they ALWAYS appear in my lucid dreams. But I don't always see my mom and I don't always see my best friend. I also have my phone set to go off at 3:30 PM, 7:30 PM, and 1:30 AM to remind me to do one, but since that's a no-no I'll make sure to shut that off. ;p
So, you pretty much just get the hang of RCs at random huh?
