Research paper
I'm have to do a research paper for school and i picked Lucid Dreaming as the topic. I'm wondering if you guy's know of any books, reliable sites (like this one), and articles or movies (like Waking Life) that i could use as resources. I got my copy of Exploring the world of Lucid Dreaming today and i'm just diving in.
I would like recomendations for resources. :D thanks all :D

theres a thread somewhere on here about lots of movies related to lucid dreaming :D

Depending on how you do your paper I say you could go beyond just looking for books/sites/movies about lucid dreaming and get people's REAL accounts with lucid dreaming. Maybe some people on this site who are experienced lucid dreamers can help you out...it will bring a different element to your paper so it's not all just "stuff that you've read or seen" but stuff that you've had experience with and know people who've had experience with.

Definitely try to get some first-hand information from experienced forum members here, or other people you know who are experienced LD'ers. Try doing a subject search of the library catalog for your local library, under dreams, dream, dreaming, lucid dreams, etc. That seems to work quite well, as it will help find related subjects as well as exactly what you're looking for. You could also try contact the lucidity institute and asking if they could point you to any good sources. Their contact is in the back of "Exploring the world of Lucid Dreaming."

YEAH!!! Interview some people here. Stuff like that looks really good in your references section.
PM me if you'd like my input. There are many great people here you could interview.
Don't forget lucidity.com and ld4all.com as resources

I'm game if you want some input, or if you want a different outlook (ie. a Christian point of view). I applaud your efforts and I wish you the best of luck! :goodjob2:

dreamviews.com
And then, go to google, and type in "lucid dreaming" and ... well, research. G'luck to ya and your work.

I'm available for interviews. Hmm, how does the MLA handbook say to document a resource that was interviewed online at a website?
-
hmm
I would guess that you just document it as a regular interview. When you go to the Bibliography just site it as a webpage.
I'm gonna come up with some questions this weekend. I'll probably be done writing out the questions by about monday or tuesday.
Thanks again

I do suggest you focus more on factual accounts for a research paper. While arguments to the benefits/fouls of lucid dreaming may appear in certain parts of your paper, it is most recommended that you stick to know things about sleap and dreaming, instead of people's accounts. This is not to say that hearing other member's say on things it not helpful, it's just something that the graders will not neccessarily take as good information.
Still, you may do as you wish, and I have not any prior knowledge to your instructor/teacher, but only my own knowledge of grading processes and papers.

yes
I have to answer three questions in my research paper.
[list][*] What is the History of Lucid Dreaming
[*] What are it's uses (this is where personal accounts would come in handy)
[*] and Induction techniques
[list]
I'm not going to make the whole research paper on personal experiences and happenings. Only a part.

This sounds like a cool project. What class is it for?

HISTORY! Oh man, you can start off with the old Buddhist monks in Tibet, cover the Shamanic practices of the American Indians, then move to LaBerge and scientific stuff.
You will have no problem finding stuff for the paper!

English
It's an English project. It's our whole third quarter grade.
I am gonna have absolutely no problem finding enough information. I think i may actually have to shorten it when i'm done. (it's gotta be 6 to 8 pages)
My teacher said she might just not read the whole thing if it was more then 9 pages long.
