Same for me, 15-20 mins does happen, but not longer (untill now). There is a theoretical maximum to a LD length though, because each sleep cycle you will also pass through deep sleep, and there are no dreams in this stage. It's also quite hard to stay lucid there. In the later sleep cycles you have less deep sleep though, so in theory the lucids at the end of the night could last longer than those you may have in earlier cycles.
I have had 10 - 15 minutes.
I can't remember what exactly you can get to =/ its like an hour.
:P
I had one that lasted around 30 minutes.
Actually they were 2 dreams chained with a DEILD in the middle. But as i wanted to have the dream in the same place as the one i was dreaming before i awake i guess it was like a big dream in 2 parts. The second part was the longest, around 25 min, the one before was kinda short 5 minutes i guess.
30-40 seconds and I thought that was long. I had no idea they can get around 20-30 minutes long!
You can get up to an hour long lucid dreams. Oh, and by the way, that's excellent, eyyoshi. This thread just completely expanded your LD horizon! :D
last night was around 15 seconds, longest i had.
58 mins.
TODAY.
The best LUCID DREAM ever in my life [later i'll write this experience on the forum]...
Was a RILD WBTB+FILD
Fucking amazing...
A full REM cycle. Now if we talk about time dilation (just perception, don't imagine things), like 11 hours? And it gives me headaches... Before i thought it was longer, but realised that "going to sleep" in like 30 of these hours makes it far, far shorter.
A few seconds to a few minutes... perceiving a dream to be 11 hours long must be incredible, but at the same time I might start to doubt my ability to get out of it.
15 minutes.
Agree with Xetrov. I've heard people report really long ones but my personal opinion is that their memory of time is being screwed with within the dream which I know for a fact can happen as I've experienced it.
maybe around 25 minutes. i've had some really long DILDs where i would end up forgetting what was going on before I was lucid.
I am pretty sure the longest your dream can possibly be is around an hour, and for this to occur you would need to have been asleep for a long time before. Its all to do with REM cycles and I really can't be bothered to explain them.
Otherwise its just to do with your dream control and not allowing yourself to wake up prematurely, which I am guilty of all the time.
My personal longest, I'm not sure because its very hard to grasp time in a dream but I would say it was around five minutes. Five bloody brilliant minutes I must say.
I think I have finally overcome the hurdle of becoming lucid, but my new hurdle is dream control and staying calm, so my longest LD can't have been any longer than 60 seconds.
about 4 or 5 minutes. It's not long but I have noticed a lot of improvement. They used to be like 1 minute and less frequently.
Probably around 1 hour, but that would be chaining dreams together, with minimal (5-20sec) breaks in between.
I find once you have had a long lucid dream you will have more to come. Your brain no longer is expecting to wake up any minute, so you relax into it with confidence that you will have a while to experiment. Expectation and confidence, as usual, are key in LDs.
The longest lucid I had was about an hour long. It was under some special circumstances though. I had not gotten more than a few hours of sleep per day for 3 - 4 days. I believe I experienced some REM rebound. Regardless of how it happened, the dream was awesome!
My current longest time is roughly 10 seconds, i guess.
my longest was probably around an hour and a half
ive had quite a few hour long ones
I have had a couple that have pushed the hour mark. These dreams were awesome, btw. The longer the better I say!
45 minutes but that was because i wasdrifting in and out of regular dreaming to lucid dreaming
well my longest felt like 30 mins or something. but i doubt it was really that long
