PC Game that can help with having LD's?

Hello, I have found a game online that can (maybe) help you with lucid dreaming. In a nutshell, you take the role of a girl that has odd dreams every night, you make her go to bed, and induce a lucid dream. When she has the dream, you are free to roam around the dream and collect things, and do various activities around the dream-world.
You collect things, explore different zones/areas, see things that you've seen in the "real life", and much more. Although, when the player wakes up, you must write in your dream diary (in-game) what you've seen in the dream, that helps you become more lucid each time. Anyway, the game is free and I think all of you would like to try it, it's virus-free and it is not that big of a file.

Tried it, the game is kinda surreal, but so are dreams. Don't think this can help much with inducing LDs (apart from mantaining the theme on our minds) although it is a quite interesting game. I'll keep playing it. Did you beat it already Derek?

Ummmm.. my computer can't "find" the file : / Can somebody tell me what the game is called, so I can find a different download source?

Yeah.. its in a .rar file. My computer can't open it. It says it needs some program to open, and then it redirects me to this site that doesn't help at all :/ I give up.

You don't have winzip? Just google it and donwload the program, then open, then install.

Weird, to me it extracted fine, if i was you i would run some anti spyware and antivirus programs just to check. The fact that you are redirected to a site to buy a program to extract the files seems kinda suspicious to me (unless this site is the winrar program website).

I think you need WinRAR for .rar files. If so you can get a free trial, it says it's temporary but it's not, just google WinRAR.

I was able to extract it. Then I got to the installer. installed it all, with no problems, but I can't seem to find any sort of icon that lets me play the game.. not even if I search deeply in my documents : / Does anybody know why this is happening? I've never put this much effort into trying to play a simple game.

Very obscure, just a bunch of doors with repeating backgrounds it seems, though I got a lamp lol.
Not exactly "fun", but I'll keep playing for a bit.

I think its kinda cool actually. I found a bunch of stuff. A bike, a frog, and a stoplight.

You just kind of wander around. There aren't any clear objectives, but it's fun. I think it'd be cool to play this game right before going to sleep, or maybe turn it off 15 minutes before sleep or so. There is a nexus the girl goes to every time she falls asleep with a bunch of doors. Each door leads to a different world.

How amazing would that be if we could do that? I bet it's possible. Imagine going to sleep every night, having a FA, then walking through your bedroom door into a nexus like that.

I am an avid PC gamer. Will def. check this game out. It sounds a little like some of the indie games that have come out recently.

I shall give it a try. :) When I went to download it I totally thought it said 'Mirai Nikki (Future Diary)' there for a second, the name of a manga I've read. But no, just 'Yume Nikki (Dream Diary)'. :D

this games fuckin buurnt! i found it boring at first but after a while when you gets a few of the abilities it gets fun. And has anybody else gotten 2 the wierd place where its all white and creepy?

Yea the game is pretty creepy; it starts slow, but with a tiny bit of help from a guide I was able to get started, and now I'm exploring her world on my own.

I don't know any white places besides the snow, but I have been to some other creepy places... not that there are too many of those ;)

Even though I hardly don't have enough time in my schedule for lucid dreaming, I still try to do it some nights. During the school day, I usually
keep a notebook with me that is just based on dreams, since I have to get up so early, I have a smoke and write in it, then catch the bus and head off to school. So yeah, any questions just hit me up.

I have played and finished the game with the help of a walkthrough.

To me, the game was very creepy and mysterious.It kind of got the theme of dream exploration into my mind, but I think it is more likely that it will give me nightmares than lucid dreams.

Very creepy,depressing,but interesting.

I played this game and it leaves much to be desired. it crashed once when I touched an enemy

I have finished the game and would like to share the sad ending to all of you.
After you collect all of things, items, and effects, she gets her reality and dream world confused. And goes out on the balcony, where a new item, a ramp, is there. The background is a dark, melancholy night. The sad music when you go into the area to get the flute is playing slightly in the background. She thinks its all a dream. She jumps off the roof, thinking its a dream. The screen turns to black. The music flute aea music returns, white flowers start poping up. Then she appears. In a dark distant background. She pinches her cheek, (as you do in the game to wake her up), but nothing happens. She realizes that she is dead. Stuck in the nightmare. She fades away, along with the white flowers and the credits start.
