      Your dream/spirit guide

Lately I've been trying to contact my DG again. Trouble is, I haven't been able to keep a good LD long enough to call him out for awhile. My LD dry spell, however, is not the reason im creating this post. What I am wondering is what do you presume your dg/sg is? Is it a spiritual representation of yourself? A completely other being? Perhaps a guardian angel of some sort?

Im confused to whether I believe that it is myself, or a guardian spirit on its own accord.

From my experiences with my DG he has been a male around age 35 or the age of fully grown adulthood without quite reaching middle age. I also don't remember seeing my DG since I was about 15yrs old and am now 20, but it used to be quite frequent and always the same form of identity. Normally I can ask a question and get a straightforward response, other times it would be vague and I would have to elaborate. I'm trying to remember if I was able to create my own answers for the dg or not, but as I remember the responses would usually come free flowing and without pause like normally when I control other persons speech in my dreams there are pauses. Anyways, I was just wondering what the forums opinion is on this topic and I appreciate everyones input.

Meh, never met mine yet, only impostors. >_>

But I think a DG is a part of your mind just like all the other DCs. He's just more awesome and lifelike than the rest because you expect him to be. The stuff he teaches you works because you expect it to, considering he taught you, and why would he lie?
What if I told you that I am dreaming right now?
That your whole life is a lie?
That the laws of physics as you know them are incorrect?

Furthermore, what would you do if I told you I'm going to wake up as soon as you finish reading my signature?

Dreams are internal. The answers you get from your dream guide are most likely answers that you knew all along, and know they're right (based on your morals), but didn't want to admit for whatever reason.

All parts of the dream are me. Even other characters. I have multiple characters that could be considered dream guides; they are sage and friendly and mythical. But I consider them, like all else in the dream, internal. They make good companions for adventures (I prefer adventuring with reoccurring dream guides than dream versions of people I know in real life).
